So this game inspired me to make an unofficial sequel...

Thank you Lixian for creating this gem AND supporting the development of my own interpretation of this game!

As far as I'm aware, the game should recognize any plugged in (or bluetooth) controller immediately. If for some reason, this isn't working, I would try having Steam running in the background (with your controller set up through Steam) or running an external software like DS4Windows.

I haven't had this issue, but I also always have DS4Windows running in the background on my computer automatically, so that might be the issue! I hope this helps!

I don't think so. It seems like Apple locks their integration from being developed using other devices. It's strange and pretty annoying as a developer, but hopefully I can make it work in the future!

I appreciate the help, but this game was made in Unreal Engine 5 using blueprints with some pretty complex (and kind of arbitrary) menu controller integration.

If I do figure out how to fix it, I will update the game!

Unfortunately, building games for Mac (at least when using the Unreal Engine in my experience) requires the developer to have a Mac. I do not have a Mac right now, so I will sadly not be able to build games for Mac just yet.

This actually happens because of necessary trigger placements for camera changes. This is only an issue when speedruning the game because cutting corners (no pun intended) isn't how the game is meant to be played. If I can make this a little easier in the future I will, but for now it needs to stay the way it is so the cameras can switch correctly when playing the game the way it's intended!

This is an issue I've been aware of since I set up controller support, but unfortunately I have no idea how to fix it! If I do find a way to fix that in the future, I will update the game to reflect that!

Unfortunately the game is quite hefty, even on the lowest setting. I haven't found a way to lower the graphics requirements, but if I can manage to either lower requirements or create a separate, less graphically intensive build, I will!

Unfortunately, since I am not a partner of any major console companies, I am currently unable to release the game for consoles. Hopefully projects I create in the future will have this option!

UPDATE 1.1 IS NOW AVAILABLE!

This update will help players see the bean better and attempt speedruns easier with the new “Speedrun Mode” option in the Extras menu!

I made a game about coffee for Jacksepticeye to thank him for his $100,000 donation to my Thankmas Charity Campaign in 2021... and also because I love his coffee brand.

Do you love coffee? Have you ever wanted to BE coffee? Well, now you can!

Experience the life of the world's first sentient coffee bean! Roll and bounce your way to the coffee maker to fulfil your life's purpose as fast as you can! Just be careful... this place is a mess!

Play the game here: https://planet-vano.itch.io/iambean
