okay hands down this one is the best mega man clone plus the weapon combos to make powerful weapons it's just awesome and amazing, well done to you Doctor Succubus, plus the sub-room transition is just awesome, which i tried on my project for this game jam (not there cause i forgot the enemies) and the chiptunes are a wonderful piece to listen to.

i'll be honest sound isn't my strong suit but hoping to get better at it and same with the animations. but will keep on going with those two since i don't have to worry much about coding with gdevelop or another scriptless code engine. pixel art i may need to look up some tutorials to get the basics of walk animation an other cycles, same with sounds. but thank you though i'll keep those in mind with the next game jams. <3

this is one fun experince of arcade games and i would love to play this again and again, simple awesome and fun!!!

i like the closer the blocks is from your shot the more points it gets, i love it how it forces me to make near miss shots with moving collisions.

here give it another go the timer has been fixed to add more points of how much time is left after hitting the end goal per stage

yes it was intentional want to make to player to also look for some secrets as well from invis platforms and walkable walls to give them the high sores in the end

i'm hooked to this already just having 5 mini games in an actual game just. MARVELOUS!!!

ok i got the score board all fixed up now to showing all entries now, sorry about that, and sorry about the controls of J & K was trying to emulate like the actual arcade controls with the joystick and the 2 buttons. but i'll keep that in mind in future projects. and couldn't put you username in hmmmm that interesting can you give it another go since i gave it a update.

thank you after 20 attempts and making this No.21 i feel happy, but still have more to improve!!

no....i don't actually cause i don't have a community yet. but come to think of it i may need to start one soon

it's on spotify, apple podcast and other podcast platform Game Dev Couch 3 episodes are up but i'm looking to do more with other game developers cause i like to hear their stories.

Greetings Fellow game developers my name is planetary and i host a podcast where game developers great and small can be on a podcast for 1 hour with other game developers to share your stories and experinces of their game development journey but also talk about some game genres in todays gaming industry. if you are interested to be part of the podcast and to share your journey with other game developers and new comers to the scene? then please do get in contact with me here on itch.io and i'll talk to you there.

by regards of the music composer RonnocJ here's the reel fishing soundtrack

not only that jam but other's that invovles retro theme jams

i take it that you used the trench broom program to make maps and to be honest it looks awesome and slick. awesome stuff man

Planetary#9294

hello my name is planetary and i'm a solo game developer at the moment and looking people that would like to join and make some awesome 2d pixel retro games for this year lost cartridge jam 4. cause i would like to focus on doing designing the game and levels, but will help out on small things with art and programming, the game engine i plan using is godot engine. if you want to join and have to make a retro game for this jam feel free to hit me up on here or on discord.

hey fellow fps game devs i'm looking for a team to work with for this game jam but it isn't my first rodeo of making a fps game currently working one of my own by myself. but i 'd like a change of pace and would like to work with a team for this jam but as the designer, currently using godot and trench broom but have dabled in other engines with GZdoom/ultimate doom builder and willing to push my knowledge more futher to make good levels

a change of pace from the fps to the adventure metroidvania platformer

yeah the download version got it working properly

give it another shot it's up there now

This game just looks awesome and well made for a doom clone an awesome job but does feel weird using the space button to lock on other than the RMB but it's alright i hope to see more of this.

the game is very simple and easy to jump right with attacks and special attacks. if anything what will make it more fun it's to give more specials for the players to do mess around and see what will work and what will not. it will be awesome. but other than that and awesome game overall, simple button input easy and simple graphics, and simple gameplay. well done man.

so basically i have of making the plane grow to three levels with each power up and looses power up like mario has done with his mushrooms and other special throughout his series, i may need some help on godot to do that mechanice

you know i love this game already the cool retro graphics and soundtrack to this game is awesome, and being made by godot as well, just amazing. i hope to see this fully on steam

open bor very interesting engine to look at. thank you but i'm looking to see if i could solo dev this game and small projects. but thank you though.

Hello fellow game devs i'm looking to understand of how to make a beat em' up game on unreal engine, been looking for tutorials and couldn't except one guy who made blast bash (awesome game) and i love how he made it. able to move all 8 directions like Streets of rage final vendetta and TMNT shredders revenge. so what i'm saying i would love to make my own beat em'up game but i don't know where to start programming and design wise. please help me.

if you're willing to learn and have fun then that's fine

Hey guys we got a team of artist, designer and sound designer... we're looking for a unreal engine programmer that has massive blueprint knowledge that could help us with complex blueprint or coding. Please give me a yell if you are interested of taking part of our team.

Hey guys i'm new to this game jam but is my 2nd game jam, i'm a Game designer with some knowledge of programming (blueprints scripting) and 2d pixel art, currently using Unreal Engine 4 due blue print scripting being easy to use. got some knowledge on game maker studio and unity if i need to jump back in. please i'm looking to enhance my skills and commucation as a team

ahhhhh i see it now it's weird as i download it i'm only getting the folder i think that might be the case

you know this reminds me of my mod f zero game i make with the f zero track builder. and this...This is AMAZING able to build tracks with ease no hassles no going through different windows to alter the track, a simple pick up and go!!! Please....PLEASE Make this game a reality so gamers that want build tracks and race against friends with the tracks they made will be awesome!!!

aspriet version 1.2.33-x64 and yes it does have the drop down menu of open script but tried it couple of time no lua file

the cc slope generator tool bar or cc slope generator 1.2.0 can't seem to see the lua

i was unable to use the slope generator since the folder is missing a lua file don't know what's going on here

this game is fun and really challenging relying on the player to not just button mash to just attack but to also time each attacks towards each enemies got to love the idea of it

this game is amazing such awesome pixel arts and gameplay make me want to keep on playing it

thank you i tried to refine the coding a couple days back but i was able to fix the collision on the wall and ground if not jumping but after the jumping he fell right through just a bit. i'm currently using Game maker studio for that game, but my skill on programming is not really good i'm more of a designer building the levels and the story of the game. but thank you the feed back maybe next jam i'll give unity a try to see the differences.

yes i did actually
