Okay so, I was able to beat the game, kind of a huge achievement because I have no mouse only trackpad (it freezes up a bit but I dealt with it).

In terms of gameplay, I think it was great, had a bit of Evoland in there which I kinda liked. Perhaps some slight tweaks to player speed and movement might make the game flow better but honestly it was alright. I like the atmospheric sounds though some randomness to the coin and artifact pick ups could make a nice difference.

Overall, a nice little game that's fairly straight forward. The first boss was trickier and harder than the second boss, but the change in gameplay was a really nice touch.

I love this game! I haven't beaten it just yet, but the premise of the game is very good, and I have enjoyed many games like this. Reigns on Steam, Underhand on the PlayStore, etc. Great styles of gameplay, and lucky to have a new one to add to my collection!

I'm really glad you liked it! You'll be glad to know that we are planning a full release with stuff that got cut from the original concept due to time contraints, as well as new features, mechanics and content that provide a fully complete game.

I'm so glad you made it to the end! And that you liked the game. I'll definitely try and improve the stamina system.

Literally the only piece of art I didn't do myself was the human sprite, only because I needed a character to prototype. The artwork is from the Canari 1 Bit Pack found here: https://canarigames.itch.io/canaripack-1bit-topdown

Everything else art and programming related was done by me, while music was done by one of my best friends. Glad you like it!
I'm curious if people managed to beat the game, because there is an ending.

It's a really nice game, it has it's charms, and maybe some oversights.

First I'd like to mention that I was fighting the control scheme. The E button and R button are right next to each other, and I ended up restarting too many times because of it. Secondly, having to restart simply because I can't tell the future isn't what I call great game design, as these levels do take time to complete and I end up having to do the same stuff over and over again. There wasn't really much to the enemies, I imagine setting falling enemy traps and utilizing the enemies better could make up for that.

Now on to what the game did right. Firstly, the level design, taking simple mechanics and coming up with creative ways to use them is by far the greatest aspect of this game. By exploring these different ideas, you communicate and engage with players and the players feel smart and fulfilled that they discovered something new about things they are familiar with. I also personally really like the extra details like the bubbles, fish and the level decorations in closed off areas. It makes the game feel more alive, and engaging. I also think the challenges and difficulty was extremely well put together, I enjoyed the challenges and the game didn't feel like it was too difficult to get through.

Overall, great game and despite these few, tiny flaws, it's a hidden gem!

I love the Baba is You kind of art style of this game, I also spent quite a bit of time playing this one

Thank you for the reply, the ratings, and that video recording. To help clarify a few things I was a day late so this project was all done within 24 hours. I wish I had time for better models and some actual sounds but I'm still kind of proud with the results anyway
