Thanks! Yeah, it seems to be a popular opinion that it's too harsh to just have the second particle slowly die after the first one dies... I wanted it to reinforce the importance of their connection, but I agree that it may add to the game to have a way to revive the other particle

Thanks! Maybe not quite what you are looking for, but if you open in a mobile browser you should get a virtual gamepad you can play on since the game was made in Pico-8.

Thank you for the very kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

Thanks! I also appreciate the suggestions. There are definitely some things that could be done to improve the gameplay loop, its just tough with so little time in the jam ha.

I agree, collectibles could add to the game. Really the only motivation is to keep killing the enemies the screen doesn't get too filled. What I had wanted to do was have new color schemes which could be unlocked by surviving for longer times or killing more enemies... but I ran out of time. Thanks for playing though! Glad you had fun.

A co-op version is an interesting idea! Thanks for playing

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Awesome game! Good simple mechanics, well thought out puzzles, and a LOT of polish. Very well done.

Tough game! I think I got up to six incoming viruses. Would have been cool to track a high score, or time survived. I enjoyed it though, good job!

Unique and fun mechanic. I really enjoyed exploring the small but interesting world.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the concept of teaching the enemy AI, I feel like there's more to explore there than I was able to do for this jam

Thanks both of you. I tend to agree that the ship taking some time to master added to the fun, but maybe I got too used to knowing how to control it ha. Thanks for the feedback

Hmm, that's a really good idea! Would definitely make the concept clearer. If I ever keep working on it, I'll give that a try. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it.

Maybe I didn't make it clear enough, but the asteroids don't randomize position when you die. The one that killed you disappears, but all others start in the same place and follow the same path (for that given level). This makes it possible to learn a path through any of the levels, even when all of the asteroids are on the screen.
