Did you guess the last digit for Blankenship's room? That breaks the terminal interaction, but all 3 scene snippets should be unlocked in the Fantasize menu.

As for Meh, there's more you can check, then. Consider what other colourful slime-and-or-gel people you know, and what colours combine to make purple, then exhaust their options - they might have gained more to say after speaking with them initially!

Unless I'm mistaken, that symbol is Opera, yes?

Opera is a privacy-focused browser. It has default restrictions on the sort of cookies that MERCANOID (and other Twine and HTML games) rely on to function. It would need to be allowed/whitelisted.

'In this app', sorry? What app? I'm glad to hear the game is working via browser!

Can you tell me what those errors are?

Ok, I'm willing to help, but I need more information than that. Do you get an error? Does it appear to save, but nothing happens?

That's unusual, I've never had anyone report that before. Can you please provide more information, if possible? Do you get an error? Does it appear to save, but nothing happens? And what browser do you use? Privacy-focused browsers may need to make cookie exemptions for HTML/Twine games like this.

There is no Android version, and it's likely that I'll make one. The game works alright on higher-resolution phones and in general all tablets when played landscape.

Thank you so much, I'm glad you're enjoying MERCANOID! ♥

Thank you for the kind words, and I'm thrilled you enjoyed MERCANOID. ♥ This is my primary setting, albeit its far-flung future; I have ambitions to create more games in it, past, 'present' and future!

The game isn't set up for Mobile, apologies. That would require more knowledge of CSS than I possess to rework the UI down to a suitable format for smaller screens like that. I've been told it works decently well on tablets.

This is situational, actually! Some enemies can't be spared, and it's up to you to figure that out. This mechanic is somewhat diminished in MERCANOID, as it's largely a prototype for my framework.

There are two bosses you can spare, IIRC; the Slammia, and the first phase of the final boss, with the latter having a specific mechanic to drop Morale.

Glad you enjoyed! ♥

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed. ♥

Understandable, but it also wouldn't have been free if I would've had to pay for artists! Cuz I sure as heck can't draw, hah.

You probably have everything, then! Did you get Meh, the snake girl? People tend to miss her.

Glad you enjoyed! ♥

It features in a few scenes. It's not a central focus, but it's the focus of the scenes in which it appears!

Thank you very much, and I'm thrilled you enjoyed the game! I'm hard at work on something new. ♥

No idea what that is!

MERCANOID started life as a single scene (the Gulper bad end, actually) that I wrote to entertain myself on a trip away from home, aaaand things spiralled from there.

Not presently, no, sorry. Don't have the design chops required to redesign this UI to play nicely on a mobile format. It works on a tablet in landscape as-is, but phones would require a signficant overhaul that's beyond me.

Nothing particularly special, no! Just a different end to the fight, no scene unlock or anything like that. Don't worry about it.

Whoops, mistake on my end, it was set to 3. Will be fixed for next patch.

It's involved in the sidequest to rescue Professor Blankenship. It does not appear outside of this - it's a 'maybe someday' update goal.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

It's randomized every time you play. You need to find the individual portions of the code, all of which can be found in the northern sector past the firs Checkpoint gate.

Thank you very much for the kind words! ♥ I'm thrilled you enjoyed it that much. :)

Go to the Repair module back in the storage module! It's under those options, as mentioned by B4B3. Repair > Fantasize, as it's a method of restoring Focus.

You can either get it done with quickly, or use it as a thematic link to the gallery - hence, the Fantasize menu. Also thematically reframes them as fantasies, which can make some more hardcore content more digestible for some people.

Enjoy!

Pregnancy themes appear in a few Bad End scenes. You can unlock these for viewing at any time by beating their related encounters... or by losing to them, but this may cut your journey short!

There is no impregnation/pregnancy/birthing content outside of these scenes, given the scope of the game and the limited timeframe in which it takes place. you're well catered for, however: at a rough count, I think at least five scenes contain breeding as a theme.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Can't say I've ever run across any Twine games with that sort of integration before! Wouldn't know where to start. As for a truly authentic TentaCo peripheral, that would require funding and some superscience, alas.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it! And best of luck with your own project! ♥

Oh, I'm sorry! For some reason itch.io flagged this as spam but didn't actually bother telling me, I only found it because I was poking around the deeper tabs of my analytics

Once you've gained the quest, one of the Hab rooms - Selene tells you to go there, but has forgotten which one - contains a mass of hive-flesh with her case embedded in it. It puts you in a little gathering minigame to retrieve it. You then bring it back.

N'aw, glad you enjoyed it so thoroughly! Rating (which I see you did! Thank you ♥) and sharing both go a long way to helping. I'm starting to cook up something new, but I'm working on a new module for the framework first!

Nnnno, because no one reported it! I wasn't aware this was a thing. That's odd, they're all using the same system, so that shouldn't be happening...  If you could, could you let me know which items are affected? I'll take a look. Could you also let me know what version of the game you encountered this in, given that from your post it seems like this was something you ran into a while ago? I just booted up a quick test area, gave myself a bunch of Busted Terminals, and they scrapped and deleted just fine. Maybe I did fix this!

Very kind of you! Glad you enjoyed!

Uh, wow. Could you maybe hop in the discord so we can discuss this somewhere easier than the game's comments section? That's a lot of things to fix!

-- The bugfixing's done and it's been uploaded, though the level cap thing is intentional. 10 is the limit for MERCANOID. Level Cap sets an increasing level cap that scales with Main Quest progress, it's for people who don't like to over level for an area's intended difficulty - akin to Pokémon Nuzlockers not going over the level of the next Gym Leader, as an example.

Everything else is potentially useful, but I would need more discussion on it before implementing any of it. My code is jank, but it's jank I understand, and I've been burned by relying too heavily on proper big-girl code I didn't understand in the past.

Incredibly kind of you to say, thank you! ♥

And thank you for playing, along with the critique! ♥

I will be honest, I didn't consider that people might want to re-fight bosses, as their scenes are unlocked afterwards anyway. I'll consider it!

Exp rates were actually increased when I reduced the encounter rate, with the intention being to mob the player less, but with slightly stronger enemies that would punish you for just spamming Attack through them. The player is free to adjust exp and 'gold' values to their liking in the options, so I'm leaning towards a relatively easy normal mode for the sake of people usually not wanting to be taxed too much in their pursuit of smut.

That scene with B4B3 is a firm favourite of mine too!

The Bits economy is a little in shambles, which is why I added two static scrappable objects in the first sector of the game. It does limit the creation and modding the player can get up to, but I hope that creates a bit of decision-making in the process!

Probably not happening, I'm afraid. It's a little too niche and would be relegated either to a single bad end, or would require a lot of checks added to existing content. But I'm glad you're enjoying the game!

Shortcut keys? You can navigate the map using the arrow keys or by clicking on the buttons in the UI, if that's what you meant!

Thank you very much for your in-depth thoughts, and I'm glad you enjoyed MERCANOID!

While a lot of effort did go into the smut, an equal amount of effort went into character and story, so I don't really mind at all. ♥ As for combat, it's my hope that it's more engaging than just mashing Attack, but without veering into puzzle territory for every single fight - it sounds like that balance has been struck nicely with you. But interesting, something I've found in feedback is different people swear by different weapons, which is great to read for a game with a much more limited sandbox to future projects I have in mind with larger scope.

On the topic of modification: Pauses? Do you mean when you're opening Dialogs, like the inventory windows? I've not encountered any delay in those, so that's a little odd. As for this limitation - it was done to cut down on any bugs that might've occurred on my end from actively adjusting a weapon's stats whilst equipped, as well as shaving the Modification scripts a little. But I'll keep it in mind.

Again, glad you enjoyed! ♥
