Thank you!

Thanks for playing!

Yep, the biggest takeaway for me this jam was to find and use actual art assets from the start rather than prototype meshes with the intent of replacing them later. :)

Nice job.  Good to see someone else posting a game made with UE. =]

Some nice background music and a jump sound effect would fill in some of the audio 'gaps'.  Also, the jump input felt delayed or occasionally didn't work at all.

I'd actually prefer if the game play was in in 3D instead of a side-scroller.  There's also an old endless runner tutorial for UE4 on YouTube that shows how to generate random tiles in 3D as the runner progresses if you're interested.

Ha, yeah in hindsight I should have just started out with actual art pieces instead of prototype geo that I thought I'd have time to replace.

Absolutely!  The important thing is that you were able to create an end-to-end experience in very limited time.

Interesting mechanic, although I kept thinking I was being attacked by my own army upon revival.  I'd also rework the health bar to make it a bit clearer as to what it represents.

Great work!

I debated on whether to adjust the initial trajectory to some line-traced point projected by the camera, but it felt fine to me as-is.  I also didn't add a crosshair for the same reason.

This one made me literally LOL!  Fun game.  I loved how I'd spawn with more turrets with each death.  It might be fun to add some sort of 'super' weapon hidden in the map (like a big explosion that would clear all the enemies) or have some of the barrels explode.  Well done!

Not including a crosshair was intentional as it adds to the challenge. :)

I agree about the footsteps - in fact I spent a disproportionate amount of time trying to fix a bug in the free footsteps BP that was available on the MP.  I found out that it was actually a bug in UE5 code that was preventing the BP from working correctly, not the BP itself.  Definitely would have liked to add more sound effects in general but ran out of time. :)

Ah, ok.  I like the concept!  Great work for a solo project.

Very nice!  I love platformers.  Not really sure what this has to do with the jam theme but it's cool nonetheless.

Nicely done.  The action felt a little too spaced out, even with the thrusters.  I like the idea of respawning as a different ship that was salvaged from space debris.

Thank you!

Thanks!

Interesting concept.  I kept looking for door codes but couldn't find any, even with the flashlight on.  A few sound effects and maybe some 'spacesuit' ambience would really add to the atmosphere.

Nope you got it.  Thanks for playing!
