Yep the combat system needs a lot of tweaks since it's an open world sort of thing now. Also, super glad to know you loved the concept. I've decided I'll build this one into a full-blown game so watch out for the updates!

This jam was super fun in a sense. A trip to nostalgia and a little experimentation too, Thanks for hosting and thanks for your efforts ^^

Sorry for the inconvenience, added to the debug list :D Also glad you liked the concept of it. I'll be working on this game futher!

Probably the cutest game in the jam, and a nice and simple mechanic ^^

A little offering on adjusting difficulty wouldn't be bad, I believe. It felt a little too challenging at times.

+1

The best I could do was 11 lol

It was the first time I tried the scripting side of things where it got a little messy. The slimes were originally super fast when chasing you so the concept was around trapping them into mines. Also there's a little boss fight that cannot be completed without mines, but that didn't make it into the jam submission as I ran out of time because of some debugging. Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep working on making this into a full-length game ^^

I'm super happy that you liked the concept of it ^^

There's some music in the game, I think it's not looping for some reason. Also, yes that's a JoJo reference :D

I'm super stoked to know you liked the concept of it. There was a boss fight in plans but I didn't make it in time :( Since the planned mechanic for the boss was a ranged projectile, the mines were the only way to trap him. Yeah the mines became pretty useless when that didn't happen.

I am planning to make this into a full length RPG along the likes of older zelda or pokemon games! Be sure to check it out after the updates!

That's some good stuff right there! I liked how attention was paid to little details without losing scope of the jam timings. Little stuff like how the player square oscillates when you're trying to push against a wall, that's a super effective feedback. Also I'm stuck on lv 5 ;_; I'm gonna finish all of them today though ^^

I messaged you on your Discord. My username is Rusk :)

Still looking for someone? I was thinking if we could collab :|

The more the merry!

The jam has begun! You've got two weekends and the weekdays in between.

I understand there are not a lot of people here, you can checkout the game assets here in itch.io and on opengameart.org as well. Both of the websites have a generous collection of resources to fill your needs. Good Luck!

If you need someone with a specific skill, you can leave a note here. Good luck!

We're sorry we couldn't figure out why that's happening. We're still working on it, looking up on unity forums and places to fix it ASAP.

The game has been updated a couple of hours ago. Do check it out again :)

Thanks for informing :D

We kinda patched it up. You can play it now.

Hi Josefnpat!

Thanks for trying our game out!

Yes, we (2 man team) were short on time owing to ongoing semester at college. We've played YOKO REDUX, amazing work!  Loved the way the colors pop in the scenes.

Cheers!

Hi IchiSama!

Thanks for trying it out so early :D

We are working on enemies and adding game objectives to get to at least one playable level. As per your review, the controls will be remapped too :)

Is there something else you believe would make the game feel better? We are two students working on our first serious game development project, so we've decided to submit it a week early and listen to as much feedback as possible and learn from it.

Cheers!

Hii!!! It's our (we're two friends) first time submitting too! We'll check out each other's games :D

Best wishes!
