Probably the cutest game in the jam, and a nice and simple mechanic ^^

A little offering on adjusting difficulty wouldn't be bad, I believe. It felt a little too challenging at times.

I'll try making it easier after the voting ends!
Glad you like it!

I did invent bubble-teching tho

Developer

What was your bubble tech?

I like the art, I liked the art. I feel like the difficulty curve was a little sharp. Some of the jumps required a leap of faith, which lead to a lot of trial and error. I was able to get through the first level but not using techniques that I think were intended...

Developer

Sorry for it being difficult!

Glad you liked the art :)

This game was really sick but I feel like a feature that lets you look around would help with difficulty a lot

Developer

true, I’ll try to implement it on an update

This game was really fun to play.  But I could not beat the rain level for the life of me. I made it to the purple tower and just. gah, gave up lol. the soundtrack was awesome tho!

Thank you!

I suck so hard at this game! I died 17 times without even reaching the second enemy on the first level (a turtle? a kangaroo? is it both!?). Which is sad because the game looks so charming. Congrats on the presentation, I think you nailed early Mario vibes aesthetically

I guess it would be easier for me to play if the bubbles spawned farther away from you, as charlie suggested. Maybe if you spit the bubbles while jumping, it stays beneath you, as a little help for people who want to go faster? Not seeing if I was past the gaps was also a thing.

Really want to see how the other levels look, so I might retry this some other time. Congrats again!

Thank you! Sorry for the difficulty! :’)

It’s actually an armadillo

I like the look and feel.  It took me a minute to figure out the bubble mechanic to cross gaps and was sometimes difficult to see when it was safe to drop down.  The art is great and the main character cute-factor is a plus!  Great work!

Thank you very much!

This is great! Straight into the game, instantly understandable core mechanic. Then I got stuck inside the tall tree for a bit. The groundpound mechanic is fun. The rainy level is hard!

The gaps you want to cross are usually big enough that you have to make a “bubble staircase” to get across, but the staircase has to be so tall that you can’t see how far you’ve gotten or if there’s a hazard where you want to land. Maybe if the bubbles could be pushed from the side, or if they flew a little bit horizontally when you spit them out, it would be easier to keep the platforms visible? Another option would be to have the camera look ahead of the player in the direction they’re moving, etc.

I love the art style!

Thank you very much!

did you reach the end?

I didn’t finish the rainy level. I only had a little bit of time for each entry before work. :)
