Makes sense. Yeah, the zombies are supposed to attack the player when they get near, but that doesn't seem to be working in the build I uploaded. Oh well. But yeah, I could get the zombies to follow the player. Good idea! And yeah, pick ups and destructible crates were next, but I fell short on time lol. This was mostly an attempt to improve the game feel in my games, so I ended up polishing that first. Thanks for the feedback!

I downloaded the Mac version and only got this. The UI was also incredibly small. If this is made with Unity, try going to your canvas's settings, in your canvas scaler component, change UI scale mode to 'scale with screen size'. Not leaving a rating since this seems to be a build issue. Hope you had fun during the jam!
Fun game! The main music can be annoying to listen to though. I would pick something that has more variation and sounds less like an alarm, haha. Also, one time I got both enemies but it still said game over. Not sure what's up there. The bullet may have collided with the wall and the enemy at the same time. I would have the bullet check if it hit an enemy first, then walls. The level design was also p good, it was a great way to showcase your mechanics.
Fantastic my man. Your art and sound is on point. Just want to throw some ideas out there. It may be worth trying to make the sounds more chaotic as time passes so the player can get a sense of how much time has passed. And on the win screen I'd turn off the bombs falling. Had fun playing it, you did real well.
The mechanics are great! Your game feel needs some work though. I'd consider getting some art for your player and enemies and some music for your game. https://www.purple-planet.com/ has some royalty free music you can use. This definitely has some potential.
This game is fantastic. The game mechanics are creative and very well executed. The level design is also spot on, and you set the tone real well for level design in the very first room. I had a few collision bugs, but hey, it's a game jam game. The art is great (I love the cats), just wish there was some sound. Definitely worth making a full game out of.
Nice atmosphere and game feel! The game didn't feel particularly unique, but that might just be me cause I went the same route with it being dark, scary, and zombie enemies. What was there only one of? Light sources? Again, the atmosphere and game feel were really good. Nice punchy shot SFXs and splattered zombie guts.
I had trouble figuring out why I kept losing though even though I didn't touch anything red. Granted, I didn't read the instructions haha. I'd suggest is that pressing 'restart' puts you in a new game, rather than straight to the start menu. Also, try seeing about making sure each game is winnable. Kinda frustrating when you can't win because of RNG. Overall; I like the idea, the minimalistic approach, and the sound. All solid. Just add some quality of life improvements. :)
Huh... I'm not sure what's up with that. This was my first time making a game jam game in 2D so I had a harder time than I anticipated making this game. I'm going to be making this one private in a bit. Sorry for the late response, I never expected anyone to play this lol. I'm actually just about to upload a couple new games, one of which is way better than this one! The second will come out in November. Keep an eye out for it, I'm really excited about the mechanic. :-)
