Though, I forgot to mention that Linux systems are case-sensitive. So if a file is named "Something.JPG" and it is used with different case in game (something.jpg, something.JPG, Something.jpg etc), then it won't work on Linux :/


So, while I do prefer the solution I explained above, to make it work, you will need to make sure that all uses of filenames are the same everywhere they are used. One way is to write some script (in Python or whatever) that renames all files to lower-case and looks for all of them in your game (non-case-sensitive search) to rename them to lower-case.

Hi,

I know that games made with RPG Maker MV can be exported in various manners. I don't know the complete list, but I am 100% certain that it is possible to export them in such a way as to create www/ folder and other files.

Even if game is exported for Windows, it can still be easily run on Linux. All we need : exported package.json file (even for Windows) and www/ folder with game-specific stuff. Afterwards we just need to follow a simple procedure (much easier than using Lutris or Proton ) :

1) Go to the game folder (even if exported for Windows)

2) Delete everything except www folder and package.json file

3) Download Nw.js for Linux from https://nwjs.io/

4) Export contents from this archive into the folder of the game (where only www and package.json remain)

5) execute nw with ./nw

I am not sure how difficult it would be, but I would appreciate it if you could figure out a way to export the game in such a manner (html5 or web-version?)

By the way, I found a second reproducer : 

1) Open options in Main Menu

2) Press on ESC button (keyboard) instead of using mouse to exit in-game window

3) At this moment game cursor (beautiful golden sign) disappeared and is now replaced with my regular desktop cursor. The error will occur as soon as I click anywhere with this cursor.


So the problem is probably somewhere in cursor handling

Same issue as for Samantha Trappu : Every time I try to close internal window, i have the same message :

X Error of failed request:  BadCursor (invalid Cursor parameter)

  Major opcode of failed request:  2 (X_ChangeWindowAttributes)

I thought that it is related to my screen resolution and game resolution being different, but changing them to the same value didn't help.  I am on Linux by the way.
I found some info on the Internet making me think that Majalis might be using ffmpeg for some reason, but it seems unrelated :

I might use it one day, but for now I will keep playing without cheating.

Ok. Thanks for the answer. Indeed, for some reason variables 98 and 126 are not present in the savefile when edited with the tool I mentioned.


Well, I guess I will continue playing with traits and see what happens. I can always replay the game in the future when more content comes out :)

Would it be a spoiler to share if some bad consequences can happen because of traits? :)

For example, if you can become a slave (actual slave at Rahib market) or get bad results for quests? Or even worse, not be allowed to do some quests (for example, if nobles no longer respect you if you are a Masochist)

I know that you can cheat and use https://www.saveeditonline.com/ to modify variable values, but it only worked for removing Masochism trait. I found out that it is Variable#178. 

I saved and loaded right before and after getting traits at hypnotist. I noticed that variables 1,2,119 change values, so I hoped that they would be related to other traits, but nope :p 

Variable 119 seems to be linked to exhibitionism, but I think that even reducing its value does not remove the trait. 

As for variables 1 and 2, their values are weird.


I know that I am asking about how to cheat :p but could mdqp explain why editing save did not work for "titty lover" and "exhibitionist"?


I am asking because I thought that these traits would unlock more content, but apparently, they mostly block choices kinda like a curse :/

It's a great idea, but it will force Majalis to rewrite the dialogs and depending on the code they've written, it might be difficult. If they foresaw it, then it's quite easy to automatically change phrases in text, but otherwise it would take a lot of time. It's kinda the same problem as with my suggestion : creating a temporary transformation (just an excuse to put the game on the tfgamessite) is okay, but keeping it permanent? That would mean (1) either changing ALL encounters or (2) creating a temporary sub-zone with several predefined encounters and forcing player to stay there until the transformation is reversed.

Now, let's return to your topic :)

However, if there are indeed a lot of people that would also like to play as a herm character, adding such character options might be worth it. Though I doubt that it will be a real herm (with a vagina and a penis) as in many encounters (Centaur, Vagabond...) it is the point that the Main Character doesn't have a pussy. Having a choice in the size of breasts ( flat(femboy), A cup, B, C... ) is totally possible however. If you think that is enough for you, I think Majalis will no doubt implement it sooner or later.



Hah, the changes in breast size can totally count for tfgamessite : by adding them (and allowing/forcing to change them with some encounters) Majalis can kill two birds with one stone :D

In version 18 (current public) I had 3(or maybe 2?) basic agility and got a "Faster(1)" per, but during the encounter with goblin it said that I only had 2 agility (in reality I should have 3 or 4).

I just wanted to suggest that you should add Tales of Androgyny to www.tfgamessite.com

Community there is a little bigger and will get you more advertisement. The only problem is that before putting your game there, it would be better to add in the next update (or in one of the next ones) at least 1 or 2 encounters with some temporary/permanent transformation or mental changes (protagonist eats something and becomes a giant/halfling ; bad ending after the defeat by a druid that transforms you into a male/female wolf or a fairy...)

It would be awesome to add a chain of events (like with Trudy) that will lead to transformation and possible bad end or making yourself normal again.


Yeah, by the way, awesome game! It's only alpha (pre-alpha?), but it's already almost as good as CoC and will be WAY better when you get more content done!
