We'll keep this post up-to-date with known issues. If you have any issues running the game or encounter problems during gameplay, let us know here - if you have a crash, the game produces an error.txt file which would help in diagnosing it.

Current known crash bugs:

  • If the save file (gamePath/data/save.json) cannot be created or edited because it's in an admin-protected folder or is being accessed by another program (Dropbox folders being a major source of this - you can use selective syncing to fix that issue at least) - the game will crash. In the next release we'll make sure it doesn't crash, but it may be unable to save - we'll try to log the failed save in a separate error file.
  • Some machines to have an issue running the 64-bit version of the game - solved by downloading the 32-bit version.
  • Some machines seem to have issues when they don't have an OpenGL 2.0 compatible video card driver. No solution currently, but not sure if the current build of the game still has this issue.
Current known miscellaneous bugs:
  • The combat log isn't always 100% accurate to what's happening - this is mostly cosmetic, but you'll have attacks reported as "failing" in a generic way without really describing what that means.

Hello,

After first play I had some problems I would like to report:

  • In the town I can't do anything except Depart (maybe isn't still available, maybe gray out?)
  • Magic skills are not working after first self heal.

Thank you for making this game free and for doing a great job :3 .

Developer

Hey there -

Yeah, there's nothing in town in this version, next version there'll be the shop. As for magic skills - are you out of mana? The combat heal costs a lot.

Whenever I click the game's .exe, it gives me this error Tales of Androgyny Win32 v0.1.14.1\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll was not designed to be executed on windows (Literal translation, english is not my native lenguage so it may be different in english)

Version 0.1.14.1

A quick bug report: It seems that the anal virgin flag either isn't working, or it isn't being properly set by certain events. In the later case, the unicorn sex scene and the willing scene with the bandit (after talking to her) do not set the player's anal virgin flag to false.

Developer

Thanks! Good catch - that'll be fixed in the next version.

Hi,

Upon attempting to extract either of the Windows versions I get an unexpected end of data error saying that there are some data after the end of the payload data. The resulted extracted files do not work.

Developer

Hey - what program are you using to extract it?

7zip

Hi! Currently in v0.1.15.0 I have encountered some bugs:

-The goblin virginity flag after the battle loss doesn't seem to be working. I even created a new character and had a Goblin as a first encounter and even with no penetration it still resulted in a failure.

-Enemies can collapse into the floor from a sixty-nine position, eventually getting back on their feet and completely ignoring you still being in the sixty-nine position.

-(Not sure if bug or intended, but)The Brigand can completely ignore the sixty-nine position and go straight into a full nelson hold.

Great update, by the way! Looking forward to more like this. :D

Developer(+1)
Thanks! This is helpful - here's the results issue by issue:
  • Yep, this was a bug; the flag was being set by that very same scene, so it was always failing. That'll be fixed in today's 0.1.15.1 patch.
  • This is part of a larger issue in terms of how erotic stances and stability/stamina are handled; hopefully we've fixed it so that for now at least they won't collapse
  • That's intended - full nelson is the grapple stance that precedes the standing anal stance, not sixty-nine. Face-sitting is the grapple stance that precedes sixty-nine.

Just ran the latest version of the Windows 32 bit version. Two issues I found

-The game crashed upon trying to load a Harpy encounter

-the attack descriptions are mostly blocked off by an unknown black rectangle.

Trying to run this (the mac version) on linux, I get a crash:

com.badlogic.gdx.utils.GdxRuntimeException: Couldn't load shared library 'libgdx64.so' for target: Linux, 64-bit

manually downloading and extracting libgdx64.so from http://libgdx.badlogicgames.com/nightlies/dist/gfx-natives.jar and putting it in Resources, this error is fixed but I run into a new error:

com.badlogic.gdx.utils.GdxRuntimeException: Unable to extract LWJGL natives.

Caused by: com.badlogic.gdx.utils.GdxRuntimeException: Unable to read file for extraction: liblwjgl64.so

I found and downloaded a copy of that, and of libopenal64.so, which was the next thing to throw an error. Then I end up with this:

com.badlogic.gdx.utils.GdxRuntimeException: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: org.lwjgl.opengl.LinuxDisplay.nSetClassHint(JJJJ)V

at com.badlogic.gdx.backends.lwjgl.LwjglApplication$1.run(LwjglApplication.java:131)

Caused by: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: org.lwjgl.opengl.LinuxDisplay.nSetClassHint(JJJJ)V

at org.lwjgl.opengl.LinuxDisplay.nSetClassHint(Native Method)

...

It's possible that that error is due to a version mismatch, as the copies of liblwjgl64.so and libopenal64.so that I found were from 2012.

Developer

Hey - we're going to create a native linux64 build for the next public build. The build library we're using, as you might have noticed, removes a lot of the platform-specific artifacts from the JRE to keep the download size down. That last LWJGL error is a little puzzling, but it's probably related to a missing native resource.

Developer

Hey there - yeah, that's resolved in 0.1.15, which'll be up this weekend. :D

Hello Majalis, I have been a fan of The Tales of Androgyny for half a year now, and I support your idea. I first played it on my Linx Tablet with a Windows 8 installed on it and it ran perfectly. But when I installed it on my computer, which is on Windows 7, there was a background problem, where all the images were replaced by a white screen. I was hoping that you may tell me whats wrong, is it the game or my computer?

Developer

Difficult to say - it sounds like a video card issue. You should try updating your video card drivers and see if that helps - are you using the Win64 or Win32 version?

It uses win32, and i believe that there was a warning when installing the win64 version about an old version of OpenGL. Any tips on how to fix that?

Developer

Hrm, yeah - if your computer doesn't support OpenGL 2.0, we run it in software mode, but that can lead to strange things happening like that. We'll look into if there's a way to fix it.

Edit: solved, see replies below.

I'm unable to get the latest version to launch in Linux. I use Fedora 25

Here's the output, I would really appreciate any help you have for getting this to work.

Hey - if you look in /tmp/libgdxuser/31ce78a2/ do you see liblwjgl64.so? Seems like a permissions error.

liblwjgl64.so is indeed there, and it is readable. It does not appear to be a permissions issue.

As far as I understand, the actual issue has to do with libjawt.so which does not seem to exist anywhere.

More complete terminal output for you:

I managed to get it working.

Since the problem seemed to be that libjawt.so was missing, I did the obvious thing:

[root@localhost ~]# dnf install libjawt.so

Affterwards, when I tried launching the java file, I still had the exact same error. Looked like libjawt.so wasn't in whatever path java was searching through, so I had to do this as well:

[user@localhost ~]$ sudo find / -name 'libjawt.so' -ls 2>/dev/null
951358 8 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 6272 Oct 20 04:33 /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.111-1.b16.fc25.i386-debug/jre/lib/i386/libjawt.so

[user@localhost ~]$ java -jar Downloads/Tales\ of\ Androgyny\ Linux64\ v0.1.15.1/TalesOfAndrogyny.jar [user@localhost ~]$

And now I can launch the file just fine.

I can't get it to render on Void Linux, all I get is a black window and some music.

Here's the terminal output:

Developer

Hrm, might be a video card driver issue? If you click around the screen, does anything happen?

I can get the music to change, but I don't know where to click to do anything else.

Re: video card, I'm using the opensource radeon drivers with a Radeon HD6450

Developer

If the music changes, then you're able to navigate to new game - so everything's working but the display. Without any error, though, it'd be hard to say why that is. Hrm.

I updated to mesa 17.0.0 recently and now it works fine.

Developer

Sweet. Go Ubuntu

Hi, feel free to call me an idiot if im just doing stupid stuff and not understanding but the .rar file only downloads as one word pad file. could you tell me how to not be so stupid and install the game properly as i don't know how to access the .exe files

Developer

It seems like on your computer .rar files are being opened by word pad. You'll need to get something like winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

With that you'll be able to extract the rar file, which will be a whole folder, with the game files and .exe contained within.

yep i think everything is fine now

cheers

Your 32bit windows version seems to be using the wrong java version for the dll files, I suspect it has the 64 bit ones packed into it. When the offending files jvm.dll verify.dll java.dll zip.dll were replaced with versions from a fresh java install on my 32bit machine it worked.

How exactly do you do that? I think I have the same problem.

For me, I installed Java and copied the files from the java installation folder into the correct folder for tales of androgyny. Each time I tried to start the game and it would tell me some dll file wasn't for windows in the game folder I replaced it until it started working.

I read through the posts and didn't see anyhting about this so here goes. It looks like the Linux build has the Windows JRE packaged with it. which when run results in

Loading JVM runtime library ...

jre/lib/amd64/server/libjvm.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Error: failed to load VM runtime library!

Of course this makes sense, as the files aren't there. Also I can run the game just fine via the .jar file using the system installed java.

This is a really neat game, keep up the great work.

Developer

Hrm, I'll redeploy it. Might have gotten the wires crossed at some point - the previous build definitely worked on linux, but maybe this one is messed up.

Awesome, thanks for the speedy reply. As of right now I'm fine with using my system wide java, but I'll deffiantely redownload once it's re-deployed.

The same thing is happening to me, just downloaded and got the same error. Running it through the .jar file doesn't work for me either (black screen with music).

I think there is some bug with the facesitting stance, I was trying to get the enemy doing it and when it happens the enemy go facesitting stance while I don't get forced into it. The commands then become weird, since I can stand up or roll while the enemy is still in facesitting.

Also, can I ask the conditions of getting facesitted, if any?

http://imgur.com/a/SqZp0

Developer

Seems like it gunks up when you trip at the same time. The whole force-stance switching and enemy tripping routine needs some love so that it'll be bug-free; right now it's a little hacky, so it's no surprise there's a few kinks in it.

Enemies will sit on your face currently if they're not a centaur (of either type), you're Supine, and they're not already erect.

Thanks for the answer, the fact they have to not be fully erect explains why they always went for anal in my tries

Deleted 3 years ago
Developer

Hm, looks like a save file incompatibility - we've got that handled in the next build but in this one it'll cause a crash - if you delete your save.json in the data folder it should run again.

Deleted 3 years ago

A weird issue in this latest patch: for some reason the game refuses to open when unpacked, but works fine if i launch it straight from the archive (the .jar file).

The endurance test with the goblin anal scene doesn't seem to be working, it's listing the tested attribute as 0. This means that you fail every check.

Developer

As your health is lowered, your endurance lowers as well - since the only way to see that scene currently is to get to 0 HP against the Goblin, most characters will have 0 END during it. In the current build the checks are 3-2-1, meaning high END characters like Paladins will be able to succeed at them.

(1 edit)

That would explain why there doesn't seem to be a way to recover once your health gets low. Healing spells, taking defensive stances, trying to wear your opponent out, none of it seems to work after you've lost a certain amount of health. Combined with armor sundering, it seems that once you start to lose a battle in this game, you've lost the whole thing.

EDIT: BTW, did you change it so that the paladin is even able to get into the fight with the goblin with their base stats? Last I checked, you'd always get hit on the head and then have nothing happen.

Developer

Healing spells and items are still just as effective at low health - Magic is unaffected by low health, and similarly so are items.

If a Paladin doesn't increase their perception or Agility, they will be bopped on the head by the Goblin, but their high endurance will mean they're left unfazed. Mages and Enchantresses with unmodified agility and Perception will be knocked out.

My bug report is rather simple. When I try to open the 64-bit version, It immediately stops responding, and when I launch the 32-bit version, nothing happens

Developer

Can you try running the 64-bit version in the command line (command prompt)? Have you fully extracted the rar to a folder that you have write permission to?

It's not really a bug as much as a possible oversight, but I got into an issue with the Goblin that resulted in the fight being unending. Goblin was fully erect, hero was on the ground and there was no bleeding. Goblin would always go for the rape and never went flaccid, so there was no escape. Even after taking a few tanker trucks full of goblin jizm, fight wouldn't end.

Appreciate the willingness of most enemies to rape when the opportunity presents itself and I know the Goblin's schtick is it's unending stick, but maybe after a dozen ejaculations can we get a reprieve so the fight has a chance to end?

Hi, i have got the latest Public build and i cant seem to use my mouse in game at all which prevents me from selecting the normal mode therefore i cant really do anything hopefully you can help?

can anyone give me a step by step for downloading this game to windows. would like to play but im also inept with this kind of shit

Tales of Androgyny Win32 v0.1.14.1\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll is not designed to be executed on windows or may have an error.

From what I've seen I think that somehow 64 bit files are in the 32 bit version.

So having an issue with the 64 bit version (also I have tried using the 32 bit version and it will not launch) the game runs but everything is zoomed in and I do not know how to fix this. Your help would be much appreciated

Developer

Hrm, about to drop a new version, don't know if it'll fix it; you can change the resolution from the options menu if you can reach it, if not, you can change it in the preferences file, which on windows is on Users/<YourUser>/.prefs/tales-of-androgyny-preferences. Open it up with a text editor like notepad, then change the value next to width from 1920 to 960 and height from 1080 to 540. When you launch the game it should be a much smaller window.

If it's not the window size, but the game is literally "zoomed in", that's probably a video card driver issue.

I figured it out it was the window I am dumb

(1 edit)

Ive seen other people in this topic with the same issue with no discernible solution (unless I'm blind which is quite likely)

I'm running a Fresh install on windows 10 pro I went and downloaded flash and java and when I try open the game nothing happens, same thing if i try run it in win7 compatibility mode, both 32 and 64bit versions don't work I've tried using the command line to run it also with no avail

Is there any other baseline software I'm missing that a fresh install wouldn't have that I'm missing or is it still just being kaput?

Edit: Now suddenly works the only thing i did was install some legacy things for Age of Mythology Titans and it now works, what in fuck...............

(1 edit)

It's not quite a bug, but when you give two HJ to the centaur while you have the catamite and chose that instead of fighting the centaur or leaving, you still get a message saying you have cum in your ass or stomach. I mean, shouldn't it state that you got a facial or something?

And maybe it's on purpose, but in one of my plays I got stuck, because I was too far away from the town and had too little food to reach it before passing out from hunger and being ravaged by beasts which leads to a game over. I guess it would be nice to have the dryads "quests" (I don't know what to call them) not disappear after visiting them once. I will update this post if I find another thing.

  • With the new perks for raising base attributes (the strength, endurance, and agility ones) it's possible to attempt to raise one above 10 which causes a fatal error.
  • It's also possible to have more battle commands available than fit on the screen, same with items in the character screen. Some kind of scrolling or pagination seems necessary.
  • In the Changelog.txt included with the download, under New features, the last item says "Some thrust techniques require" and cuts off there. And The changelog posted here on itchi.io looks to be for 0.1.19.0 instead of 0.1.18.0, I'm guessing.
  • A lot of scenes don't reflect the situation; I haven't been keeping track of these because I assume it's just because the modified scenes haven't been written yet and the event just links to the one that has to keep things moving. Things like what Draigg mentioned above. Many of the ones I was noticing were for satisfying opponents via topping, which looks like it will be gone soon, but Urka stands out. In the repeatable final encounter you know her by Urka, while I think that only comes up if you fight and win in the first encounter.
Developer

Thanks, we'll fix the >10 error. Definitely need scrolling or pagination for a lot of things, still working out the best approach for it. Noted the continuity error with Urka - originally all her defeats were game overs, so there was no way to get to her repeatable encounter without defeating her.

(2 edits)

Noticed a few small things. First is if you want to play top, it's really hard to get your arousal up in order to actually top your opponents (near as I can tell, the only way to get that to work is to have your arousal be high from a previous encounter or to bottom for a bit first). Second is that the brigand anal animation seems to only be used in combat, but it would probably work well in the willing scene after speaking to her too (which currently doesn't have anything). Third, the taunt skill is producing some probably unintended behavior by causing enemies to immediately cum after any sort of stimulation and to remain in that aroused state after using erupt if done a sufficient number of times.

Finally, your main image claims that the most recent version that was released was still at the end of February. I only realized that you'd updated because I actually went to the game's page to check discussions and noticed that a newer version had been added.

EDIT: Looking at the changelogs, there seems to be some sort of mismatch going on. The version 0.1.18.0 listed on the changelog states that there is now a preload option and a new ogre encounter. The changelog for version 0.1.18.0 included with the game instead lists the rival adventurer encounter as new content. Neither version of this changelog is included on the other, but the game's one seems to be accurate for the current public version.

In version 18 (current public) I had 3(or maybe 2?) basic agility and got a "Faster(1)" per, but during the encounter with goblin it said that I only had 2 agility (in reality I should have 3 or 4).

Developer

So if you get into combat you'll be able to see what's modifying your agility by highlighting over your character portrait - probably low health. You can also see your actual unmodified agility on the character screen viewable from the world map.

I guess, that might be it. I'll check it a bit later.

Hey there! Reporting a small typo in the current patron build (Version: 0.1.19.0  May 23) . When you get the satisfied end for the harpy encounter, its says  "She seems to be in some sort of dazy,..." instead of "She seems to be in some sort of daze,...".

Also, I learned all the offensive skills, but quickly found out that since I have all these abilities available, I couldn't see all of them, especially the sex skills that appear at the bottom. I was still able to use them by using either the shortcut keys or the up and down arrows, but I was wondering if it was possible to scroll through them so I could just use the mouse.

Great work so far, keep up the good work!

Oh, also for the male Goblin encounter, the pronouns still seem to be for the female goblin instead of the male. Ex: "Her rhythmic thrusting..." instead of "his rhythmic thrusting". Hope that helps!

Developer

Thanks, got the typo and the Goblin Male now has the right pronouns - we did add mouse scrolling with the new weekly patron build, although it's still a little wonky.

Yo, played 0.1.19.0. I'm kind in love with this game.

There some notice about combat i ve been made.

1) Cowgirl ride seems the most bugged. You can't cum when enemy rides you, and everyone want to ride you when you down with full erupt (even ogre wtf?). And its quite opposite when you ride enemys, so they insta strungle... no fun at all.

Guess need some prioritets change. Cause of it you realy rare will adopt 69 (need to be lay down and both dicks not erupt). And when you does, text messages not fit in bracket... (=

2) Also can't rly build erupt without using taunt. Kind of hard when you try to play TOP char. Guess lust and erupt should be independant parameters...  cause when lust overwelming opponents instantly cum. -_-

3) And last notice... there should be some way to roll over opponent, or abuse them while they on knees... it hard to caught them in right moment in right possition even when you are a way better.  $)

But general game is great, can't wait to see it fluid with arts.

Developer

1. Yep, this is mostly fixed in this month's version, in that only Trudy tries to ride you - the actual mechanics of it aren't fully fleshed out.

2. This is something that will be addressed - overall the arousal mechanics are unfinished (see point 1).

3. Yeah, getting opponents into position is going to be easier; in particular, they won't always be able to immediately stand up (and that'll be true for the player character as well).

Hi, I noticed that you can't increase stats past 10 on 0.1.18.0. Not sure if you fixed, but thought I'd let you know.

Yep, it's fixed n 0.1.19.0, which is up now.  :D

Hey I can't run the game on Windows 10.  I've tried running 32 and 64bit versions both.  I've tried opening the JRE with java and i get the error message. Error: Error Writing file: data\profile.json (Local)

Are you sure your Java is up to date? 90% of the time that tends to be the reason a Java-based game stops working and it's been fine on both my comps (both are 10). Also, does using the EXE over the JAR file produce the same result?

Yeah my java is up to date.  When I run the .exe it loads but doesn't open. When I use the JRE it'll open a blank window and then give me the error I stated before.  The only thing I can think is I messed something up when I bought a new harddrive to replace my old one.

Developer(-1)

If it's having issues writing files, try running the game as Admin.  You might have the game in a folder that the game doesn't have write access to.

alright. so I don't really have the time to look through all these messages to see if anyone else has the same problem as me but. I have the win64 downloaded and I've extracted it using winrar. But when I try to open the .exe file, it loads, then nothing comes up

I've got the latest version of Java, I've got Windows 10, and I've even tried opening it as an admin (which didn't do anything)

(1 edit)

ig ill just re-extract - Error: com.badlogic.gdx.utils.GdxRuntimeException: Couldnt load dependencies of asset: Loading.png

luckily havent tried to get far yet, just been testing out all previous things from last versions and checking out the new stuff in between, bout to check out the goblins and see if uve put up some new stuff for it and the new ogre :D i myself hope its a dickgirl like the orc and everything else, my preference after all but with u and a few other great artists ive grown to like and even look forward to and search for the trap x male :) ^_^

edit: darn hopefully a futa giant soon, and cant wait for more story and scenarios, also some anal pregnancy soon too, tho im guessing that might b a few months away :) ^^

Adventurer - Third Encounter. Having been snared on the second encounter.

While fighting The Adventurer.

I'm in a Supine stance they're Balanced

Stats: 27/60 - 19/20 - Down (3) - 0/10 - Bleeding (3)

Any move I attempt receives Critical Failure message (Error: index can be >=size: 0 >=0)

Developer

That's resolved in the next build, which will be up in a few days.  :D

Win 32bit version 1.20 (public build) is corrupt.  Tired a DL a number of times, and a repair but the JAR file inside is corrupt.

Developer

Hey, re-uploaded it, hopefully it's fixed now.  I was able to extract the rar.

I keep getting something that says there are no exectuables found despite having downloaded it several times. Am I doing something wrong or is there something I'm missing here? I mean prior to one of the updates it was playing just fine.

Developer

Hey, which version are  you downloading?

I downloaded the 64bit version orginally and when it updated I chose it again, It began having the issues afterwards. I'll note that I'm installing it from Itch.io directly if that helps at all.

Developer

Are you trying to install it over the old installation?  That may or may not be causing an issue.

I was trying to completely take it off my computer but it keeps asking to just normally reinstall so I'm not really sure what to do or how to get the missing executable.

had error and it told me to tell you lol, i have no idea what it means so sorry if its been asked how to fix before. just downloaded the game and got this error trying to launch>

OpenGL 2.0 or higher with the FBO extension is required. OpenGL version: 1.1.0

Developer

Hey, it probably won't be able to run on that computer - try updating your video card drivers, but the game won't run on cards without OpenGL 2.0 support.

yeah its a 2008 hp i just got lol

Developer

Hopefully this has been resolved - not sure what went wrong with the deployment/upload last time.

Look at this, i found a leak in code.

But ride system still a bit broken, enemys use only strugle nomatterwhat.

Developer

Thanks, I'd fixed that on the MC but not on the enemies.    And for cowgirl/reverse cowgirl, the enemy will now not struggle for the time-being.

(1 edit)

Hi i got the 1.21 build on tablette. There is some error,  the game crash at 30/40% when you go to preload , and you can't use charactere, camp or save button on the map :/

I'm having the same issue (v 0.1.20) on my S2 tablet with saving/camping/leveling.

Developer

Hey, I'm looking into it - there's a current problem with some of the art assets that I think are causing problems.

(1 edit)

I've also noticed that the last letter of the MC'S name gets removed from dialogue on mobile.  Also, any plans to add a touchable button to skip dialogue or hide on screen text?

Developer

Yep, we'll definitely have interface options for skip/hide.  We're overhauling the encounter interface in the near future.

(1 edit) (+1)

Hi i found out ... the game is resized so just aim above the caracter image level :)

I just found what may or may not be a bug. While fighting the male goblin I ended up being pounded by it and clicking on struggle never worked. All I got was that the goblin used erupt but failed and that I used struggle but failed. It's not really a bug because clicking on pout or receive makes the goblin ejaculate which ends the loop, but it's still weird to get stuck like that. It also happens with the Adventurer and probably others as well, but haven't gotten there yet

Developer

Yeah, the grappling system isn't really implemented yet - if you end up in a kind of tie scenario, you both end up failing and in a deadlock.  We're going to be implementing grappling proper soon.

Hi! I got a CTD while playing the 64-bit version with a Critical failure box that popped up afterwards in v0.1.21.0

com.badlogic.gdx.utils.GdxRuntimeException: Couldn't load dependencies of asset: ClassSelect.png

Not sure if it helps any but I was ~lvl10, had already reached the Fort, and the box popped up just after winning a battle against a Harpy (and would've likely given me another lvl up).

(Also, just took a look in the error.txt file where I unzipped the game, Is it supposed to have a bunch of lines of things for a fresh DL?)

Developer

The error.txt is populated when you get a CTD - it has the full exception.   I believe this issue is fixed in v0.1.22.0 though.  :D

Possible bug: Surveyor is supposed to add +2 to your Perception during Scouting/encounter rolls.  In both the Bandit and Ruins encounters, when it is making Perception checks it is still based on the Base Perception value.  Harpy trap encounter works fine - I think that's with Agility though.

Developer

Hi - the Perception check with the Brigand is actually a regular perception check; it only occurs if you've already failed the scouting check (invisibly) which the Surveyor perk does help you pass.  To pass it, you have to have an effective 5 perception with Surveyor and any scouting that you've done (each Scout action increases effective perception by 3).

in version 1.21 if you fight the harpy, sometimes the dive animation bugs out and the blowjob scenes do not show :'c

Developer

Yep, this is fixed in 1.22.  :D

So, not sure what happened but I'm no longer able to run the game (v0.1.21.0)  It started off fine, I played a few times and made more than a few enemies; then I went to get dinner and I've been unable to load the game ever since. The only thing I can think of is that I enabled the setting to preload all assets before I quit out. Here's the error report if you want it.

Sometimes it's AppleKeep, sometimes it's HeavyTrainer1, sometimes it's something else.

I also get a "Bad Image" error whenever I try to run the .exe, I could only play by launching the .jar file.
I'm running on Windows 7 btw, 32 bit. I can elaborate with more details if you'd like.

Developer(+1)

Hey, that's strange - it seems like maybe some of your assets are corrupted?  You can disable that setting by finding the preferences file, on windows it's typically at  C:/Users/<YourUser>/.prefs/My Preferences/tales-of-androgyny-preferences - then in <entry key="preload">true</entry> change true to false.

Aah, that explains why I couldn't find the pref file in the installation folder then!

That seems to have done the trick, at least the .jar loads now. Would be nice if the .exe file worked though, but it doesn't seem to like the jvm.dll file in the " jre\bin\server " folder.

Hopefully this helps, at least it'll help me. Finding issues like this will give me clues in what to look for when I finally decide to produce my own games.

Hey, downloaded the Mac version. I keep receiving this message:

Could not extract the file "Tales of Androgyny Mac v0.1.21.0/Contents/Resources/jre/bin/server/jvm.dll" from the archive "Tales of Androgyny Mac (1).rar": The archive file is corrupted

Any tips? I have been using Mac-based apps to open the .rar and neither one I tried worked.

Developer

Hrm, I'll check if I can reproduce - in the meantime, have you tried redownloading?

I've done so twice, but keep getting the same message.

Developer

Alright, I've repackaged it and reuploaded it.  Hopefully it should work now.

I appreciate that. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I got it working. It was my own stupidity that had it all fucked up. My apologies.

Developer

Haha, no problem!  Glad you got it working.  :D

I've tried to download windows 64 v1.21.1 but I got  a couple of corrupted files that make it unplayable.  Repairing it didn't get me anywhere also.
