Yes, in a couple places.. the water caustics on the columns, and the fish textures, which are pretty standard texture only but with a fresnel effect that I  turn on when in highlight mode.

I'm actually in the process of redoing the fish shader to incorporate vertex animation so as to get away from the stiffer looking fish animation which uses bones.

The light rays are just transparent cylinders with some code to animate UVs.

Believe they are... implemented this game by using a lot of the stuff learned from a Unity Learn session.  I did try to offset the shader on the chameleon fish, but may need to modify my random routine..

Thanks!, glad you like the graphics.. trying to learn some new things with DOTS as I'd like to have the background be more lively.. thinking thousands of fish would be cool!

Loved the visuals, and the break the rules twist - is there anyway to win?

Agreed on UI.. at the moment for jam, just a quick and dirty display to keep track. I do plan to retrofit with some cooler (and dynamic scaling) font on trying to take this further.

Thanks!, yes I plan to take a closer look at tuning difficulty.  I'd really like to try to implement this as a DOTS solution so in the distant background I can have groups of hundreds of fish swimming around for scenic purposes only.

Loved it.. LOLd when he didn't even wait for the count...  fun!

Looks great, and very interesting play mechanic.. loved the effect of scooping away sand..  Planning to play more!

Good implementation!, still found it challenging on Medium, only won once.. but I've never been good at connect 4..  BUT - good job!!

I liked this!.. Challenging, but easy to figure out.  I'm no good (haven't won yet :) - BUT, I can't play chess either.. anyways, this is pretty cool!

(1 edit)

Very Nice job!, I'd say, keep going a little further.. different sound effects, explosions, possibly some pick-ups for double damage, etc..  THis is one I plan to come back and play some more!

Thanks!! what an awesome writeup! Going to look back on this a few times.. can definitely attest to always seeming to leave audio last, but then regretting it.. Can't wait to try to implement the camera stuff.. agreed that it definately changed my 'mood' when i clicked to enable and saw myself in the background.. it was so cool though. congrats on this great entry..
