Was a bit hard to control the swing but kinda fun when I hit something. Feel that someone as smart as the professor(assuming he is clever) would find a way to not expose himself to such danger.

I tried to play the game but all options were error and I couldn't start any gameplay, did I miss a button?(Tried most of the keyboard)

Cool effects! Very unexpected gameplay that gave me a good feeling!

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that the game that we made is a Virtual Reality game. We did go into this Jam knowingly that most people don't have a VR headset and that it would make it hard for people to actually try out the game. So if you have a VR headset lying around feel free to try it out. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for noticing! I have changed it accordingly

Hi, this game requires a VR headset to be played so a phone doesn't work unfortunately.

Nice vibes! The aesthetics feel charming yet a bit unnerving as you venture forth. I imagined that some kind of evil had awakened that now threatens the forest. I feel that a story/urgency would help tie the aesthetics and gameplay together.(Maybe the player character is unknowingly the dark evil!??!) But the controls were a bit hard to manage, the dash was like a double dash with a temporal time stop and it took some trial and error to figure out the telekinesis. Great work overall! Mushroom power!

Alright! Thanks!

What  is the best way to upload the project on itch.io? I use unity and I think an apk and/or upload a zip with the project is good enough? What do you think?

Thanks! The frog and his expressions was the focus of this project :)

Thanks! Yes there is a lot to explore when it comes to the game mechanics but after some testing I think I want to keep the automatic eating but  add some indicator to what the frog is going for next. Also there is a bug where the toungue gets stuck and that could be the gameplay instead. To make sure that the frog only eats flies and move objects away from him when he is about to lick it up.

Thanks! Hopefully he will protect your dreams as well ;)

Have the potential to become a cool speedrun game. But I felt cheated when I touched the red stuff and could still make my way a bit further and then I died :P

Nice visuals, good feedback on the action, and the music fits. I miss some  lore behind my character, what am I and why am I the one to put an end to the frog problem?

I trusted an arrow supposedly pointing to safely, landed on spikes :/ Im extreamly bad at plattformers so It can be my limitet skills talking but I think the leveldesign needs a second pass as It felt akward to speedrun and also the arrow incident. The art feels playful and happy :)

Is it the 2d game? I haven't played it but took a look at it. I think the main difference is that you can easily overlook every action  as the focus never shift completly away from your critters. So maybe limit the directon of attacks and/or give the critters a restricted area to move in(can also be expanded on as the colony grows).

My nongamer girlfriend played it. She thougt it was fun and challenging. But she couldn't get past the part with " no direction".  Could have used a checkpoint in the middle or some indicator towards the next part as she out of frustration ended it early because it became to hard to fast.

The crab instansiated on top of me a few times and after that I could hold spacebar and deal dps. Dont know if that was intentional but I feel it could use some more action, would love an attack animation on the crab, would really add to the feel of being hunted.

The flies are looking nice but I wanted more from the gameplay as it felt a bit basic. Envisioned that the frog was growing from eating the flies and then the tongue could extend further and further way up in the air catching all kind of things.

Thanks! Ah yes I have experienced the tongue bug as well after some more playtesting, thanks for noticing it!

Nice concept of an undercover dating sim! Some referenses where to meta and brought me out of the experience and some more lore into the world of frogs would have been nice as you slowly learn to love them, not just for their juicy legs.

I like the ide of collecting your lost eggs as it's feels a bit fresh in frog games. The vision was a bit of as I would have liked it bigger or that it grew more when the frog got bigger. What does fog of war add in this game? (Frog of war haha!)

Nice little managing game, I do find myself a bit torn between being a farmer and fighter. I think the environment is aesthetically pleasing but feel like it's not a good place to raise my young ones, Maybe something to add to the feeling it's a breedingground.

Looks and feels polished. The idea to create a balanced engagement is intriguing as it gets harder the further you get with a limited amount of randomness. Unfortunally I cant connect the tvshow theme with the action and I feel more like Im a good guy as "I kill monsters with 1 of 3 heroes".

Wow I feel awful, like some kind of bad guy for playing this. 5/5 for feels. I think that the anime faces makes it more creepy and looks a bit  weird, but that might be a good thing.

(1 edit)

Exploring an ant colony from the inside looks very cool and the ant models are spot on. The climbing could use some polish but adds a lot to the feeling of being an ant.  But getting to the farm takes way to long  and you dont have anything to do while getting there.

The art looks great as if the world is alive and good choice of era as Humans wasn't a big problem back when we still only lived in huts which makes the user the bad guy attacking a peaceful village. Would have liked to explore more of the map + enemies/ something to  challenge.
