Hi! Is your team of PTBR translators full? Sadly, I missed the forms deadline and would love to be a part of this project. Best of luck to you all!

Hello!

I’m Rai, a native Brazilian junior game translator for the English > Brazilian Portuguese language pair looking to localize your game to one of the largest player bases worldwide.

I have experience with game dev work as well as game localization (for mods and LocJAM) and I’m fluent in English. All I ask is to be credited and allowed to showcase it in my portfolio.

Feel free to reach out on discord if you're interested in further discussion: @rvkous

If you’re not sure why you should make your game accessible to Brazilian players, here are a few reasons:

  • Brazil currently sits at 10th place in worldwide gaming revenue.
  • Over 70% of the population actively engages in gaming activities.
  • Only 5% of the population is proficient in English, breaking the immersion for Brazilian players and making them unable to engage with complex narratives and quick decisions.
  • Brazilian gaming communities actively voice their desire for localized video games and localized games are well received among their audience.

Thank you!

Hello, I'm currently having the same issue. Did you use a specific software to catch this error? I'm using Notepad++ to review the code but it's too much for my eyes...

EDIT: it worked perfectly! thank youuuu

Thank you for the help and for sharing resources! I appreciate a lot

Thank you! I'll take a look

Hello it's me again with another question

None of the CAT tools I work with are able to read .lua files so I wanted to know if anyone else is going to translate using a CAT tool and if it's possible to convert the loc file into some format that can be read by these tools. I know .txt works but I'm wondering if it's possible to isolate the strings without losing formatting.

I hope this makes sense. Happy translating everyone!

I appreciate the care to fix my problem though! Thank you

UPDATE: I was able to download the .zip file from the cloud link above without warnings but windows defender pops up if i click on index.html upon extracting. I just let it stay on my device

I'm getting the same warning as the replies below! My windows defender is also in portuguese

Windows defender detected a trojan virus upon downloading the loc kit zip file. Is anyone having the same issue?

Oie! To  interessada em me juntar, é minha primeira locjam também. Onde a gente pode se contatar?
