That is the point I seem to be arriving at.  Making about 60 million RP per hour.  The weapons are upgraded enough to ensure there is always a monster in production as they can be killed faster than they can spawn.  Now it is about 20 days of leaving it to play itself to get to Rockster RP Drop Value level 19, with nothing to do in the meantime.

It has been keeping me amused, running on my 2nd monitor.  I've got a pretty comprehensive set of spreadsheets for trying to work out where best to spend credits to maximise Rebirth Points.

I even learned how to use ChatGPT at one point to have it work out one complicated spreadsheet formula.  I had already done so myself and was not sure of the results.  ChatGPT gave me an answer and a few days later with comparing its results with mine, found ChatGPT had got it wrong and mine was right!

In previous computer games in the past I have learned how to use a dynamic debugger to amend the compiled code, learned how to use a hex editor to edit saved games, learned how to use a memory editor to edit variables while a program is running.  I have studied ancient civilisations to improve my combat strategy in wargames.  I have kept my maths skills up-to-date with statistical analysis of the numbers in games.  For this one, I learned about Artificial Intelligence engines and proved for myself how they are not entirely reliable, with an actual example to prove it.

It's funny what you can learn from playing computer games.

After some 7 months of playing:

That all makes sense, thank you.   I see what you mean about an idle game not ending, I did not really appreciate that philosophy and I do now.

About the speed upgrade concern, with your explanation, it does not matter.

Thank you.  Yes, having modelled it in a spreadsheet, and playing with just one monster and a series of spikes, I see how it works as you say.  Thank you for explaining.

The HP Based Damage of the Spikes does not kill Rocksters.  I have Rocksters with health of 1.63k and Spikes with % of HP at 34%

Surely three hits from a Spike at 34% should kill any monster (3 x 34% = 102%)?

To test this I have removed the Gunshots and Laserguns and left just a row of 11 x Spikes.  The monster strength has indeed gone right down after being Spiked four times, but despite having 11 x Spikes and the monsters being spiked over and over again many times, they do not die.  I suspect they are eventually killed by the Spikes Health Damage.

That happened to me a few days ago and I have no idea why.

I now save to a file each day.

"There is no reason to go above 100 health, 30 speed and 1 Max count for Rockster because the benefits are tiny while the drawbacks are huge."

There is one of these at the Rockster Health upgrade from 875 to 900.  The reward goes up by 1.73% but the damage needing to be done to kill it goes up by 2.86%.  Since you earn Coins on kills, this means the return on the upgrade is negative.  That is, this upgrade means kills (Coins) come less frequently but that is not compensated for by the size of the increase in the Reward.

At the start of the game, it looks as though it starts at 40 Coins then goes up at about 0.5 Coins at each level,

When rebirthing becomes available, making about 50 Coins results in earning 0.10 Rebirth Points.

Much later in the game, I am seeing about 1.2 million Coins to get 1.0 Rebirth Points.

I have paid to get 1.0 RP per level, so I understand that bit.

But, what determines how many Coins are needed to complete one Rebirth level?

I have started a completely new game, and the number of Coins needed to gain Rebirth Points seems to be creeping up.  It seemed to be 50 at the start, but gone up to about 55 in the time it took me to write this.

Six times as long as me - I'm only up to 11 days,

A round orange Trump monster.  If you upgrade it, it promises to build a wall to keep the other monsters out, but it doesn't work.

I found it here: https://www.crazygames.com/game/dualforce-idle

The map loops round!  Surely one should lose or be penalised when a monster gets to the end of the map?  Instead, they just keep going round, including with the damage they have,

The idea of Tower Defence is that one must defend from the incoming hordes.  This is just a meatgrinder.

Knowing I don't have to kill the monsters removes the peril from the game.

It also means one can use the monster's Speed enhancements at no risk.

I think this is a bug.

Instead, either the game should end, or there be a serious financial penalty, when a monster gets to the end of the path.

A teeny, tiny, screen layout bugette.

Turrets menu, Gunshot, has:

Damage, Rotation speed
Arrack range, Reload duration

Turrets menu, Lasergun, has:

Damage, Attack range,
Rotation speed, Reload duration

On one screen or the other, Arrack range and Rotation speed should be swopped over so the two screens match.

Style or 'Kissing Gate' or Turnstile.  A square on the path that can only contain one monster.  If there is a monster already on that square, monsters start stacking up behind it until it has passed over.

A Rockster will hold up all the Ballys behind it.  Rocksters that have appeared from Instant Spawn Chance will get spread out.

This will be like a very effective 'Stun' or 'Sleep' function, so will need to be very expensive.

Narrow path: no overtaking.

A square on the path that makes the path appear narrower.  Monsters may not overtake one another on that square.

The main purpose of this is to make sure a Rockster is in front of any Ballys so it takes the fire from Gunshots and Laserguns so it is not wasted on the Ballys.  It also slows the Ballys when that happens so they are vulnerable to any Spikes on the previous square or any Guinshots or Laserguns behind them.

It might be it is not effective 100% of the time and so has 'Effectiveness' as an upgrade %age.

Monster Regeneration in exchange for Rebirth Points.

A square on the path.  It restores some of the Health of any injured monster as it goes over it, and has a chance of returning a teeny amount of Rebirth Points as it does so.

Called a Healing Station or Hospital or Clinic.

Could work like the Spikes and have one upgrade option for healing Health damage and another upgrade option for healing Health as a %.

It would not be very efficient for building Rebirth points, but would add to the gameplay options.

Catapult.  Sends the monster backwards a small distance - a fraction of a square.  Can be upgraded to increase the distance in small amounts.  Takes up a square on the path.

Similar in effect to the Stun function but without slowing the monster, but gives one something else to play with.

Perhaps: the amount it sends the monster back depends on the speed of the monster.

Teleport.  A 'From' and a 'To' so it takes up two squares on the map.  It needs to be ridiculously expensive - something for when the map is getting full of weapons.  It must be ridiculously slow to reload, much slower than a Rockster navigating the entire map.

The idea is one puts the 'From' base in the last square and the 'To' in the first square and any monster that occasionally make it to the end gets sent back to the start.

Go to the Unlocks menu and turn off Enabled on the Bally and Rockster.  Then the game will eventually stop.

I was surprised the Spikes includes a stun function. I sort of expected that to be a different building. So Spikes only does damage, and Leslies' Ice Trap does the stun part.  I was going to suggest a Tar Pit for that purpose.

So my idea is: split the Spikes into two buildings: Spikes and a stun / slowing down building.  So in any given square one can only build one or the other.

When you rebirth, it looks like any Coins you have are lost, and replaced by the amount specified by "Start Coins" on the Rebirth menu.  Is that right?

I just Rebirthed earlier with a few million Coins unspent - did I simply lose them?

If so, it is worth warning people on the Rebirth menu where it says "all your turrets; and monsters' coin upgrades will be erased" and adding words like "and all your Coins except for the amount of Start Coins".

On the Rebirth menu there is an upgrade option "Rebirth award MP".  What does that do?  And what is "MP"?

It is a multiplier of something,
