Classic tower defense. I like the risky health system. Kept pulling me back in for more tries to last longer.

Fun gameplay loop, could easily see this being a foundation for a larger project

Definitely one of the better projects I've played in this jam. I enjoyed the nature of the puzzles and see a lot of potential for more complex levels with these mechanics, and possibly more. The biggest issue I encountered is polish, specifically in terms of the sword swinging, which didn't feel as intuitive or quick as I would have liked it to
I'm a big fan of the Atari graphical style (I know it says you used pre-existing assets, but I think it went well with this style of gameplay).

A could see this as a full indie game release (with more content and polish of course)

Definitely would like to see more levels in this one

Not bad in concept, I'd like to see this with more polish. mostly faster movement, a pause menu. I'd be interested in seeing what other types of abilities and puzzles you could add to this with more levels, in order to make the game more interesting..
Getting to the end of level 2 didn't trigger a third level to start so I'm assuming there's only two levels at the moment.
I thought the character sprite was cute.

Not bad once i got the hang of it. I can see the potential in this concept. My recommendation would be to give a clear description of how to play the game somewhere, at least on the game page, and definitely an indicator of how far the character will get launched while you are tethered to the slime and charging up.
