Well I know that the creator of Hill:Agency which is another Native created game has drawn inspiration for their project from Neofeud and the independent anti-colonial perspective of Silver Spook Games. Here is a panel of several of us talking about Native games and game making:
You can also find a lot of responses from around the world to Neofeud in the reviews at the bottom of this page https://store.steampowered.com/app/673850/Neofeud/"Holy 90s adventure revival, Batman. Neofeud is a non stop feast of deja vues of interesting but arguably worse games from the 90s like Noctropolis, Harvester or I Have No Mouth and I Have To Scream, done mainly by a (arguably very very intelligent) guy that is from Hawaii and works as a robotics teacher in a probably difficult place - meaning, what you see in the game are things that probably he has been living there. The best part though is how he mixes all the 90s "cd rom multimedia" cyberpunk aesthetic and how he runs with it all along. And the game is very well written, very fair (for the moment at least) and has atmosphere in spades.
Maybe if the references are nothing to you, you will not be able to enjoy it. But that's part of it. Neofeud is a game about empathy, about humanity, about fighting the oppressor, which is what Cyberpunk was about until it was washed out to be the bland neon aesthetic of today. I love it, I love the author, and I hope to see many things from him."
Neofeud 1 is primarily about naming and describing the colonial-capitalist system and oppression in all its forms (prison, police, military industrial complex, child stealing by CPS, cultural eradication, etc.) and so it's a pushback against the narrative that the Western 'civilized' countries have ever been anything but that. Neofeud 2 expands into what alternatives have and could look like outside of the colonial racist structure for indigenous people and former-colonizers
Thanks for getting Neofeud! I'm not sure exactly what ARM is, but you may be able to get the game to run using this method: https://itch.io/t/1862514/play-neofeud-on-any-device-with-a-web-browser
Thanks for getting Neofeud! This thread may help with running Neofeud on Linux: https://itch.io/t/70222/neofeud-linux-version
Thanks for checking out indigiStar! I would recommend playing on a laptop or computer if possible, but this writeup may this writeup for NeoFeud should also work for IndigiStar:https://gist.github.com/rndmcnlly/8522254a1fbfd7d2d5e8e915fe028af8
Valentbr - I've just added a new Mac version of Neofeud that should work with your version of macOS. The new Neofeud Mac download should work with macOS 10.8 - 10.15. I believe you have Mojave (10.14).
The old Mac download is still there as it works with macOS 10.6 - 10.13, in case there some Mac users with older versions of the OS.
Special thanks to General Public for helping create the new Wineskin package!
Hm, ok thanks for reporting and sorry about that!
The vial of blood is added and often goes to page 2 of the inventory, if you haven't yet checked there.
If you still have issues here is a walkthrough of the entire game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJz-YbBpRi8&t=4859s
Wow, sorry it has been such a rough time with this!
Hm... If you haven't already, perhaps re-try the other suggestions (temporarily disabling anti-virus software, etc) now that you've moved Neofeud to the Applications folder?
There are some errors that Wine causes that are system specific, if you give me your specs I might be able to help with that.
Hi there!
Thanks for trying out Neofeud. Unfortunately I believe the saves from the demo version won't work on the full version.
You may be able to quickly get to where you left off in the game by increasing the speed option in the options menu, but I would recommend setting it to default again to avoid instability once you get there.
Thanks again!
As I recall, the 1.3 version has a couple of bug and typo fixes but no major changes. I would say that if you have no issues with playing Neofeud version 1.1, you should just stick with that build.
I hadn't realized the new Itch app wouldn't run version 1.3, but I'll look into figuring out what went wrong when I get a chance, thanks.
Hi there! Sorry if you had trouble running with the itch client.
I just did a test and it appears Neofeud will run in the Itch client, but you need to install the "Alternate Download" version of Neofeud when you are prompted to install. This is for running Neofeud on Windows.
Are you attempting to run Neofeud on Linux or Mac? If so I may have to investigate getting Neofeud to work for Mac/Linux properly on the new Itch Client.
If you're having another issue or error attempting to run Neofeud, let me know and I'll do my best!
Thanks for getting Neofeud!
