thank you for the kind words! the palette is just the CGA palette! Originally the concept was just a single screen mockup lol so you're spot on with that point :)
if you dont like using arrow keys, the controls can be re-bound in the options menu! there isn't a "hold to stop shooting" option, but you can also rebind X to something easier to hold down like space.
This was pretty fun! My only real complaint is that there isn't much feedback for getting hit! Took me a few times to realize that I even did get hit. Other than that, this was fun!! (also you can stand still for phase 3 and not get hit :P)

One of my favorite games so far! Probably one of my favorite puzzle games in a while. I like how the levels didnt feel like they had a set intent on how to complete them!
