Lessons
I learned how to properly scope a larger solo project! I'm very happy with the size and scope of this :)

Super fun, absolutely loved this! The visuals and overall game feel is incredible.
Very juicy game. I ended up very rarely using the charged shot because oftentimes charging it leaves the ship too vulnerable in a fast-paced action, but other than that it is very enjoyable to play. Well done! :)
Great Game from top to bottom!
Real fun game, screenshake on every kill is a bit too much
nice
Amazing! Super forgiving with the hardcore bullet hell gameplay, fun to play, fun to look at, even rebindable controls! I'd call that a 5/5!
You truly did learn how hot scope, perfect!
This is super juicy! Well done, it made me feel that I was standing in the arcade hall! Well done!
Just amazing. The feel is right, the authenticity is real, and the best is that it has that arcade feeling just hits right. It is one of the best games I have played in this jam. Excellent work!
another solid proposition, I really like your work in general and once again it's a success the animations are too good, it pops in all directions, the game feel is perfect, the colors are really in your style a little fluorescent pastel, the bosses are excellent and there are lots of little gameplay ideas across the three levels... I really like the backgrounds... plus there is a choice of character with different shots... what a job done... I give a special mention to the accessibility with both a super well done little tutorial and also the choice of infinite continues which impact your score but which allows bad players like me to still go to the end of the adventure and that's cool.
Tons of juice that keeps you engaged from moment to moment. Great overall feel and the release of the charge shot was always satisfying! Your planning and scoping definitely paid off because this came out fantastic.
Very professional! It’s got all the little touches, really feels fun and lively.
Oh wow is this good. Really like the graphics and the audio, it feels so nice and juicy. Doesn’t even feel constrained by the resolution. Really nice work!
This is amazing! It feels like a complete game. Very polished sprites, and awesome music and sfx!
This is just a personal gripe, but I don't like using arrow keys.
The first boss was very epic, but I think it was a lot easier than the rest of the level, especially for how long the fight was.
Unfortunately, I had to stop playing on the second level because I was getting tired of holding X for so long. I can handle pressing lots of keys rapidly, but when there's very little reason to let go of a key/button, it gets bothersome imo. I know the charge attack is a thing, but that's just an extra and you still will be holding X the vast majority of the time regardless. An accessibility setting that reverts your firing state to "hold to stop shooting" or maybe just toggle shooting, would be hugely appreciated if you make a post-jam version.
thank you for the comment!!
if you dont like using arrow keys, the controls can be re-bound in the options menu!
there isn't a "hold to stop shooting" option, but you can also rebind X to something easier to hold down like space.
sorry you had to stop playing :(
That should be a huge help, I'll try again sometime!
IT PLAYS SO SMOOTH IT FEELS SO GREAT AND THIS MUSIC??? THIS IS THE PERFECT POLISHED GEM THAT FOREST GNOMES DREAM OF ABOUT AND AROUND,
THANK YOU OROSHIBU!!!!!
This is great! Very complete for a game jam game. As always it’s packed with juice and polish and the art style looks really great. The gameplay was challenging but fun and luckily kept varied (especially with the bosses and the last level, with the classic games).
The only complain I have in terms of gameplay is the super attack. It takes so long to charge, and because it charges when you’re not shooting I was trying to save it for better moments so it kept me shooting when I didn’t need to. Also, when I needed it, the screen was so full of enemies it was incredibly hard to use. So I barely used it.
I appreciate a lot the continue mechanic, especially in game jams where I’m checking out other games and I don’t feel like restarting the whole thing because I got killed. I’m ass too so I got killed a bunch.
The music is fantastic.
The bosses are really fun and interesting. I do wish the last one used the classic games more as it felt like the most generic one out of the 3. Anyways, good game!!
