the bullets from the zero ranger enemies look like powerups... everything else is EXTREMELY FIRE JUST MAKE THIS A FULL GAME PLEASE
Super polished experience! I liked the retro pico8 aesthetics! It was a bit weird the the stealing ability but over all the shooting was nice and fun! Gave you a nice rating! If you like to check out our game too! :)
Absolutely amazing! Every thing about this game was stunning. the art was awesome, the sounds were great, and the music was super catchy! I would honestly have paid money for this. Super nice job!
This was super fun to play, a solid bullet hell shooter. Graphics and effects were good, audio design top notch and the steal mechanic to change your difficulty as a consequence is a genius way of integrating the theme into the shooter. The only thing I want is MORE!
Finished with a 408k score. Great presentation, smooth gameplay, no rough edges. Not that I expected anything less considering the quality of your previous jam games.
I didn't find the steal mechanic particularly impactful (rather it felt like an extra step to getting a power up), and the player character felt on the slow side. I'd have appreciated a somewhat faster speed, maybe with a focus/slowdown button? Either way, neither of these things affected my enjoyment much.
Only complaint is that some hitboxes felt off. Either certain bullet hitboxes felt too big, or I couldn't get used to player char's hitbox (which I think could pop off more, it wasn't very easy to see). For example, the rotating atom-like bullet - the one on your first gif - is it just the middle that can hit you or also the rotating bits?
Overall - very polished, pleasant to play. Didn't really notice the theme being used because I always powered up anyways. Not much else to add. Congrats on finishing the jam!
This is a very professional piece of art! Super responsive and with really good amount of content. Congrats on achieving such a polished game!
Awesome entry and very polished for a jam game !
Had a blast trying this one, the difficulty felt just right.
Loved both the Visuals , and Music/sounds the whole game gave me a Gameboy Color vibe :D
Did not have any particular issue with this one, i even managed to play it all till the end boss.
Overall solid experience, great job you did there ^^
The game is visually cool, but I did not find what is on the topic of the game "Consequences", according to the gameplay, I think it was possible to make more cool spellcards, such as the last boss, and the game itself is a little short, but well done anyway. I will be grateful if you play my game and leave your opinion.
Really sweet retro arcade game!
It felt like a mix between mega man, classic space shooters and quirky Amiga 500 games while still being its own thing. Nicely done!
Only thing I'm wondering about is whether theft actually has any (negative) consequences :)
I liked the game but i'm not sure how the steal mechanics works I think I was able to turn something into a diamond but usually ever time I tried to steal I just died.
This game is a really impressive example of how a lot of really small presentation touches can combine to significantly impact a player's engagement. The gameplay in and of itself is fun, but everything around it feels tailor made to catching and maintaining attention.
Hello! 👋
Overall: ✨ I played your game all the way through, and it was very fun! The Gameboy arcade feel brought back some good memories. I'm really impressed with how much content you were able to include in such a short time and how balanced and smooth it felt. Great job overall!
Fun: 🎉 I had a lot of fun playing your game. The gameplay was engaging, and it kept me hooked the whole time!
Visual: 🎨 The visuals were well polished for this style. The retro Gameboy look was executed perfectly and added to the nostalgic feel.
Audio: 🎶 The audio was on point as well. The sound effects and music fit the game's style.
Theme: 📚 I did not see the theme of "consequences" implemented clearly, but maybe I overlooked it or it was subtle.
Great job on the game! 👏
i love this one! it has all the right vibes, the art is super good! great job :)
