Appreciate it man, happy with what was doable too.
The menus were very adhoc to just have something, it'll all get scrapped anyways!

AMEN

Nice! I love these sort of "auto-battle" simulationy things, good job. I have no idea how involved VR stuff is to make but I can imagine its very fussy. Good job man.

No I loved it, I was sitting there going "SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT" along with it.

Going to expand upon it? You should, this was by far my favorite submission to the jam. Would be awesome for it to have more content and more polished play loop.

Thanks man, I'm happy with how much got done without massive critical bugs.

That's a good idea, very easy to add. My buddy also mentioned Helldivers 2 similarities, it was what spurred me to add the secondary reticle. I had already been pondering it and I'm very glad I did.

Yeah, that's the hard thing with Game Jams. All the crunch, none of the pay!

Pretty good stuff!

I was streaming trying all the submissions to my buddies and got a crack out of the loud as hell sound effect for the weapon splatting the bugs, and how weird the boss monster is. Wonderful.

I've been enjoying the schmup submissions and I like that this one has an outright i frame dodge. Don't think I've seen that in a scrolling shooter yet, its a neat feature.

I love breakable stuff, good proof of concept!

Love the graphics, I feel like it would be better if the alternate weapons were on a hotbar or something so you can shoot them all off while using the main blaster too. Lots of potential in this one

Game jams can be brutal, good job getting a project out at all! Most people don't even try!

This is another one that's underbaked but has a LOT of potential as a proof of concept. Easily the type of game you could turn into a whole thing. I do think the controls could be improved, the ctrl+middle mouse button was really unintuitive. Curious to see if you expand the project!

I don't have a VR setup, but I hope some people do so they can try this out. Kudos for doing a VR project on a jam!

Art style is nice and cozy, the gameplay felt underbaked sadly. Tower defense games are fun, and the idea of building your own walls and stuff is neat, should continue the project!

The medical industry is saved! Huzzah!

Another submission that could be turned into a much bigger game. Fun little mechanics and premise

I like that you can place sticks onto each other to create much larger drop off shapes. Stick meta is REAL

This is kinda insane man, good job. Good puzzle game foundation here

Yeeeeep, I need to do the same tbh. Default physics are miserable, having issues in my project with the shell casings in default physics regardless of settings. Might try the Rapier plugin tho

The curse of eternal refactoring!

NIce effects and physics

An actually complete little game. Nice!

Amazing

Good foundation for complicated puzzles. Big improvement would be cats continuing to move to their targets when you select a different cat.

Cracked up finishing the first level and seeing the dude on the floor. Good job.

Very silly, I love it. You could do a lot with the concept

It was fun figuring out that you could slap sticks together into long "deposit spots". Good job.

Also had quite a bit of fun playing this, very good little idea. Was a bit disappointed a big inter-stellar empire didn't show up at the end after you snowball the inner planets!

Very cool little game! Lots of emergent things as a result of planets orbiting in and out of range of each other, solid quick little strategy project. The AI puts up a decent fight and I wasn't sure I could beat it until I found a rather dominant strategy. Good job man. Could see this being expanded into a larger project someday

Thanks man! All the mechanical stuff definitely ate up time that could've been used for more impactful content additions instead, but I'm happy with how much I was able to get working.

I'm sorry i didn't get more done 😭

bepsi

Shoot, thanks man. It means a lot

This tool is so rough around the edges but I still can't help but love how simple and easy it makes it to get basic animations in Godot without any of the pipeline nightmare.

Great stuff man, thanks a ton.

WikiHow Dreams Jam community · Created a new topic Woohoo!

Got it presentable and submitted.
That's a breath of relief, I definitely bit off plenty to chew with this jam lol
Hopefully more stuff gets submitted in the next few hours, looking forward to it!
