What were you playing with? Controller or a laptop mouse pad?

This was a clever interpretation of the theme. You should clarify what the aim of the game is, whether in the description or in the game and what the controls are. After playing a few rounds, you should either slow down the rate of the automatic shooting or allow the player to automatically re-generate soldiers over time.
The most straightforward way I can think of would be to split the current campfire ui into 5 individual campfires that get crossed out or "turn on" as the player turns the actual campfires on. Pair that with a little bit of sign posting so the player has a better idea of where they're supposed to go and you're golden.
Once I realised I could kick these spiders Into the fire to defeat them, it was over for them.
Nice little game, I can see that you intended the kicking to be used to attack the spiders, but I found it most fun when I realised I could push back the spiders into the fire, and I thought I could kick some firewood into the fire to keep it going and was disappointed when I realised you couldn't.
Cute little game. Firstly, I would make it a bit clearer that there are multiple fireplaces you have to turn on; it took me a second to realise I wasn't trying to maintain that fire but was actually turning on several.
I would also strongly recommend you add a minimap of sorts or guiding points to show where all the fireplaces are. I got a bit lost when looking for them.
I liked that you could very clearly see that your fire was running out via the character changing size and that you could turn yourself back on via oil or the fire.
Keeping your fire alive whilst defending yourself is engaging.
I suggest keeping the interaction button for a core action (picking up and attacking) the same. I instinctively kept trying to press E vs Left, clicking to attack.
Additionally, I would add the ability to regenerate health by having the demons drop hearts. This would make the action of killing an enemy feel more rewarding.
