Thanks for the feedback! In regards to the goal: the game does have a set length to it - after you survive 9 consecutive rounds, the final boss shows up, and if you beat the boss then you win the game. The music you hear corresponds to which level you're in (level 1 is rounds 1-3, level 2 is rounds 4-6, and level 3 is rounds 7-9 plus the boss). After each round, you can get a random powerup item by interacting with the poker chip character who appears at the centre of the room.

Awesome game! A very well-rounded little narrative adventure, it feels complete to me.
I only have 3 little criticisms: there are a few spelling errors throughout; the audio levels are a bit unbalanced (I had to turn the volume up quite a bit to hear the text sound effect, but then compared to that, the flash sound and the ringtone are way too loud); and the displaying of text has this issue where the text tries to fit on one line, and if a word doesn't fit (such as the word "chance" in the 10th text box, or the word "optional" in the 22nd text box), then that word will display some of its characters on one line before the whole word then jumps to the next line as if it's being typed in a word processor in real time. The text should be programmed to include a built-in line break where it's needed instead of having jumping words like that.
Unlike others in the comments here, I actually found the text speed was perfect! The slow speed makes it dramatic, and it fits the momentous atmosphere. Other than the spelling issues, the dialogue was very well written. I found the story compelling and engaging!
