How does your game fit the theme?
The game takes place in a monster-infested casino where the player must fight living dice, collect random powerups, and overcome randomly-determined survival challenges. Upon defeat, the player also has a random chance of being revived instead of starting over, with the odds of revival affected by the items they obtain in their run.

I absolutely loved that dice attack animation and pattern, super fun to fight against and dodge. The rest of the enemies were a bit bland, but only in comparison, so that's on you :P

The re-rolling of some modifiers to the gameplay is a fun idea but I'd wish those timers were quicker. Like give me a new one every 10-15 seconds. Or even remove the "cooldown" phase between those and just give me one after the other!

Really cool visuals and music! I really think some sound and particle effects would add a lot of responsiveness and juice to the game. Also, I think telling us what upgrade we got after selecting a card would also be nice as its kind of unclear.

Lovely animations! And the music was a banger too! I do agree with the other comment: the goal is not immediately clear and I struggled a bit in the start trying to figure out what's what but in general this is still pretty fun to play. Nice work!

Pretty fun gameplay and I like each of their attacks. It was pretty challenging at times to try and dodge all the bullets and made for a pretty good experience. The music is also a bop :) Great submission!

Really fantastic character designs, animations and music! The gameplay feels nice too.

The things that are missing for me:

  • Definition of goal. Is it just endless procedural generation on the one map? Would be nice to know how to end the level (unless I just play until I die, in which case maybe add some tracking of "best run" or something).
  • Some narrative! I want to know who these characters are and why they are doing what they're doing. They are really cute!
  • Sound effects - it feels a tiny bit flat with no bullet, enemy,  or collision SFX.

Great job on this, it has a lot of personality!

Thanks for the feedback! In regards to the goal: the game does have a set length to it - after you survive 9 consecutive rounds, the final boss shows up, and if you beat the boss then you win the game. The music you hear corresponds to which level you're in (level 1 is rounds 1-3, level 2 is rounds 4-6, and level 3 is rounds 7-9 plus the boss). After each round, you can get a random powerup item by interacting with the poker chip character who appears at the centre of the room.
