Very charming game, the physics / controls felt a little hard to use at points because of the walk speed but it was so charming I just couldn't stop :)

AWESOME JOB, SHAMAN FTW!

Howdy Devs!

This game is MIGHTY fun!! This game has da JUICE. It's got camera focus during cutscenes, vignettes, custom cutscene animations, rad piano, and solid controls! Although I would recommend either using the "I" key for interactions and dropping the mouse or using a "q" or "f" key for dashing. This way I can keep my right hand planted. The difficulty hit that flow point for the tutorial and first level. The second level I think soft locked me, so maybe make it a bit more accessible. Speaking of accessibility they have audio sliders! I can now listen to my girlfriend and play the game at the same time, incredible!

Overall this game EASILY earns my Jeffery Steitzer rating! I would dead dog again.

I too am addicted to this game, I haven't felt the sunlight's warmth embrace in weeks. 10/10 Would stack fergs.

I'm addicted to this game, I haven't seen my family in weeks. 10/10 Would stack toads.

Thanks for playing! Here's a sneek peek at the fire shot concept art!

I'm addicted to this game, I haven't seen my family in weeks. 10/10 Would yeet cute monster babies.

I think I'm going to end up echoing a lot of the feedback that's already in here, but I'll throw in my two cents after playing. First I love sailing through the open seas, gives me mad Sea of Thieves vibes. The dynamic day/night cycle is super cool too! Helps bring the world a live and make it feel more dynamic, although, I wish night was so dark. I am still unsure if I actually won or not, I got to the electrical plant, said everything needed to be connected, and said thanks for playing. I might have ended up missing an island. I did enjoy sailing off into the open ocean forever was I was done. Oh! The simon says puzzle was really fun with all of the sounds too.

Very fun game! Love the grass as well as the character models, although I wonder if the textures could be made more cohesive with one another. While the dirt and grass look nice on their own, they collide a little bit when put together. I noticed there was a bug with the purify and I could not perform it every time. I really hope that did not bar me from any content in the game. I was a little puzzled by the end when I got inside the tree and there was no where left to explore, was this the proper ending? Once again, well done overall! Getting a character modeled, rigged, and animated in a short time is no easy feat!

It's a fun concept, has a lot of D&D vibes to it. I feel like I'm playing the start of what could develop into more complex RPG.  Some of the encounters could use some balancing. On permadeath ran into a young dragon and adult dragon in about the first couple of minutes and died. I wish there was some more art to the game, I understand that may not be this teams forte which is understandable. Some more info on the heads up display would be nice, I wish I was aware of going into fights with one energy. An end condition of sorts would be really nice too. I understand if the game is supposed to be an endless loop but eventually I wish there were larger objectives to be completed. Overall, well done, it would be cool to see where this goes.

I like the concept going through through your younger years in education, I feel like that area is not explored much. Consider maybe remapping the attacks off of X and Z, these keys require you to take your fingers off of the essential movement keys. There are a couple of bugs, but it wouldn't be a jam game without them! Think about adding lose condition, I believe that would give more meaning to the player's actions.

Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback! We wanted to capture the spirit of the games that inspired us (Dark Souls, Kingdom Hearts, Devil May Cry) which definitely resulted in a more difficult game ;^; . We've been talking about how we can tweak it to be more approachable to everyone if we continue in the future! We also agree that we should improve the visual language of the bars, health and our ramp-up mechanic can be unclear sometimes to someone just starting the game :0

Thank you so much for playing and for the detailed feedback! A fun little tid-bit is that our combat was inspired by Kingdom Heart's and it's endgame bosses, so the control scheme is similar to Kingdom Hearts, but general feedback we're getting is that its a weird controller setup so we might change it in the feature (or add another option) xD.

Thank you so much with the feedback, we agree with a lot of it :D We're already super excited about being able to apply the feedback on updates once judging is done!

cool ambient lighting!

first.

sort of.

Yes! An update should be out by Monday July 22 with some bug fixes (thanks to everyones playtesting) and quality of life improvements as well as some more visual effects for the guns and pickups! Thinking of doing some lightning effect for buffed guns. ^^

Very cute game :3, reminds me of the themes of "Your name"

Planning to add a tutorial level next time I have free time. Version 3 is what we could do by the deadline. It should help with the difficulty curve.

Great atmosphere and intense moments! Good job!
