Pretty good, got up to wave 21 before dying.
Drones feel really hard to hit compared to everything else.
Don't like how enemies can spawn behind you. A lot of the time I was taking damage from things that spawned off screen.
I'm normally not a major fan of puzzle games, but wow, this blew me away. You have such a striking visual style, the music was perfect, the level design was amazing, everything just clicked.
I want more. I would buy a full game of just this. There's enough of a story (or, lore, I guess) to draw me in. The game reminded me partially of Noita, Rain World, and Baba Is You — all games that hold themselves to a monumentally high standard.
Absolutely amazing. 6/5 stars.
This is really cool and has a lot of potential. The dodge roll takes a little bit to get the hang of but feels really smooth once you've mastered it. I've never seen a game do claymation-style graphics before but it works oddly well here.
Grave Knight is such a well-designed boss, attack patterns are varied enough to be engaging and it feels really fun to fight. No negative feedback about this one, it's perfect already.
Nalani is a neat idea, but the windows between her attacks are too short to reliably hit her. I've found the only time I can consistently get an attack in without risking damage is by rolling to the side when she does her combo or sidestepping her dash attack. Which has the side effect of making her health bar feel too big.
Overall, very polished and impressive especially for a one-month project. Would love to see this become a full game!
The scope of the game was originally a lot bigger, and I had planned to have a little screen show up when the player dies with a hint on how to beat the enemy that killed them. I didn't have time to implement it for the jam version of the game, but It'll definitely be something I fix in future updates.
Not sure about the freezing issue, I haven't encountered that while testing. I'll look into it.
Thank you for the feedback!
Fun concept with excellent monster design. The sound of the... "thing" walking is really unnerving and the way it just stands there while the timer ticks down is a nice touch. I expected that the monster would just appear when the timer ran down but having it actually walk around the building and look for you is really stressful and fun.
Great job!
Great game, really fun concept and gameplay.
Only suggestion: please add an option to disable enemy camera tracking. I played the game back in version 0.62 and the camera was way nicer, I personally find it really disorienting to have the camera constantly moving around the level.
Other than that, brilliant game, can't wait for the next update.
