Thank you for your feedback! :)
I already had three different maze designs, one for each night. I don't know what went wrong, but this mechanic didn't work in the final product. I also tried setting up a whack-a-mole shindig for one of the nights, but that didn't seem to work. With more time, I'd be able to add it in a later update. I agree that another critical thing I was missing was a mechanic to fend off the kid, and that's something I definitely want to implement in a future update.
Thank you for the feedback!
I'm sorry you were confused by the initial pizza puzzle. That should've been more clear and I'll definitely take that into consideration in any future updates or projects I work on. I would've included a wider variety of puzzles but I wasn't able to given the time. If I ever update the game, solutions to puzzles will be a lot clearer and there will be more of them both in the first and second part of the game.
Thanks!
Yeah, I could've put more work into the amount of levels and their design but I only started making the game about an hour before the jam ended. About the difficulty, I feel like some parts are hard and some are easy, so I could work on expanding the game by adding more levels and making the difficulty more consistent. I think I got away with the simplicity because of the jam's theme, haha. Thanks for the comment!
I have to say, I really enjoyed this! All the little details in the NPCs were great! I did both endings after the game, and they really intrigued me. I'm really excited to see what happens with Beth and her brother, and Jessica too. Also, I hope we'll get more explanation as to who the character is at the start that gives Beth the staff.
I know this is a draft, but one minor problem is the enemies. I feel like they were too overpowered and when Jessica died, I never had any items that could revive her.
Anyway, once again, this was a really fun experience and I'm excited for the future entries! :D
