I think this game does the best job of capturing what a dream feels like out of all the submissions!

By the way, I kept accidentally pressing shift instead of tab. It might be worth switching up the controls a bit!

I love that you've merged changing direction and shooting into one action! Very clever and it makes for a much more interesting game than if they had been separate. The music is an absolute bop too!

Perfect. I love that you are able to jump over your shadow / collect boosts that they can't to get away from them. Definitely a favourite so far!

Finally, a game where the character moves at an adequate speed! That being said, I can't avoid any of the enemies' attacks… ever. Maybe it would be better if they only shot one projectile, or even gave a warning which direction they were shooting?

I like the ending! The enemy chases you very closely though, which means you basically have to complete every level perfectly without pausing, which I found quite stressful. I think the game could be better if they followed you slightly further behind, or at a slower speed than the player themselves.

This is such a fun game! I played it until the screen had essentially become a maze of my dead clones…

There's a lot going on with this game, but I think it works! (I got a score of 17… is that good?)

Wow, what a clever concept! The art is absolutely stunning too! I will say that I wish your cannon layout was retained when you lose a level (although that would require a remove cannon option, maybe by clicking on it a second time?). I keep failing due to my abysmal platforming skills, so it becomes tiresome to replace all the cannons each time. I think the concept has heaps of potential though!

Wow! I love the aesthetic! The smooth zoom into the player when you're drinking is a very satisfying, nice touch! I needed to purposefully let myself get hit to reload on ammo during the boss fight which, I think, was a perfect implementation of the prerequisite! I do think the font at the start is a little tricky to read and a death/success animation would be nice (although I'm sure you'd have done that anyway if we had more time!) All in all a solid submission—I want to play more!

Was it moving in and out or side-to-side that you had issue with?

I purposefully made the rings quite touchy when going side-to-side to make it easy for the player to accidentally hit dreams out of the arena, tying into the prerequisite, but I am very interested to hear your thoughts—was this fun or was it just annoying?
