Judging feedback: Interesting concept of "you", and it's a nice simple 2D platformer. But the gameplay could be elevated with more elements and graphics. Music is a bit repetitive, but conveys a good mood for the game.

nice game, hoping youd review mine!

Nice one, our games are pretty similar!

Developer

Thank you! And yeah the shadow chasing mechanic seemed to be pretty common! I’ll check yours out later!

really nice concept, pretty intense being chased around (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)

Developer

Thank you! Glad to hear it had that impression haha

I like the ending! The enemy chases you very closely though, which means you basically have to complete every level perfectly without pausing, which I found quite stressful. I think the game could be better if they followed you slightly further behind, or at a slower speed than the player themselves.

Developer

Thank you! And yeah it definitely could use some fine tuning. Thanks for playing!

"Running a way from 'a part of you' that copies your every move". IS THAT A CELESTE REFERENCE?

Anyways had a really great time, controls were really well made but reached the same room that a lot of people got stuck on. Looking forward to what's next!

Developer (1 edit)

Celeste was absolutely a big inspiration haha! And thanks for playing! I’m glad that room is the last one so people get to play the vast majority of the game, but wish it was easier so people could reach the ending in the next room haha. Thankfully it’s not that insane of an ending, just provides a little closure.

I like it! The progressive introduction of new controls is well done. Not sure if the last level was meant to remove the dash though, it was very hard to complete without it, but not impossible. Well done overall!

Developer

Thank you! And yeah the last level was meant to kind of let the player attempt it however they saw fit.

The game is fun, I don't know if it has an ending, but there is a certain phase where I can't use the dash, especially with lag (for some reason during gameplay the fps drops a lot)

Developer(+1)

Yeah I didn’t notice until very late in development that there were lag problems. Thanks for playing though!

Great game! Would be great if it also had WASD controlls. Still very fun though

Developer

Yeah I had the intent on adding them but ran out of time unfortunately. Thanks for playing regardless!

Cool game. Cool idea. However, it’s complicated… I’m stuck on one level because it’s impossible… Dash doesn’t work out there… 😥

Developer

Yeah I’m assuming it was the last level you were stuck on, (the one where you need to thread between the hazards on the floor and ceiling) which I wish I made a little less complicated. Sorry for the inconvenience, but thanks for playing!
