Hey all, my game has not yet been released and the file is not yet downloadable, yet the game analytics show the game has been downloaded once. I'm a little bit confused, how is that possible?? Has there been a hack involved?

Overview

The shoot 'em up / bullet hell game you will have fun playing!

Are you gonna shoot? YES! Are you gonna blast? YES! Are you gonna make a big bang? YES! Are you gonna make a big boom? YES! So what do you get? Shooting Blaster Big Bang Boom!

A game you can play (maybe want or even need to play!) when you got nothing better to do, you're just bored and want to kill time, or you're waiting for something special... like Mass Effect 10 or Baldur's Gate 9, or maybe just the booming party you'll have tonight. This game is meant to be relaxing and easy going with a nice collection of soft music included. There's also a rock soundtrack if you'd like to dive into a more upbeat tune.

One other thing... you can ram your enemies! They'll be a lot more affected than you will be!

Enjoy this fun little take on a good ol' arcade game of a not-so-distant era...! Shmup it up!

Gameplay

Playability

This game is for PCs of any caliber, new or rusty. Please see the FPS table below to get a sense of gameplay smoothness you may experience.

FPS Table

Note 1: All settings that can drain FPS have been turned on: Anti-aliasing, Bloom, Sun; the most GFX expensive weapons were used as soon as made available (Missiles, Rail Gun, Phaser). This means there is a good chance you will get higher FPS on your machine, and a smaller chance you will get lower FPS, depending on gameplay luck, and of course player weapon preference.

Note 2: No hardware has been overclocked. All hardware settings are stock / original. All machines have the latest OS update and drivers installed as of the date of testing (March 17, 2020). All tests have been performed on traditional HDDs. No hybrids or SSDs. If you plan to run the game off of an SSD, you may see improved performance.

All things considered, we believe you can run this game on any PC with hardware up to 10-15 years old. :)

Hey all, we have made some updates, please read below!

We are announcing a price drop of Pit Blocks 3D for the foreseeable future. Due to the current world crisis and emergencies, we believe in a more affordable entertainment for everyone who choose to stay at home during these times.

1. Alternate game style - available in the Options Menu
   • Top-down
     • Camera has a static (unable to be moved) position and will stare down the pit
     • Each playable block is wireframe
     • Each dropped brick is solid coloured
2. New Options
   • No story text
     • Avoid scrolling text, message text, and button-clicking so that you can jump right into the game
     • Can still unlock story cards
   • Same-coloured bricks
     • Can help players memorize bricks by colour
   • Static row colours
     • Each pit level has its own colour
     • Each dropped brick converts to the colour of the level it is dropped in
3. Missing space/spot identifier
   • A clear missing space/spot identifier will be implemented in order to help the player complete a row level
     • Useful if the player missed a spot and they cannot find it in order to fill the row and lower the level
     • All dropped blocks become wireframe and all "missing" spots become solid
4. Increased difficulty
   • Option to disable pausing (this would result in a greater score)
     • Remains applicable for the entire duration of current gameplay
5. Mode changes
   • Free mode
     • The free mode is now available
     • Bricks no longer descend based on time
     • Bricks descend when the user tells them to using the "rush" key
   • Race mode
     • This mode has been renamed from "Freestyle" mode to "Race" mode so as to not be confused with the new "Free" mode

All of us at SRM Games are proud to announce that Pit Blocks 3D will be releasing soon!

Pit Blocks 3D is our ‘ReMixed’ take on the classic Tetris model. We initially came up with the idea as a simple minigame in a larger release, but Pit Blocks 3D quickly took on a life of its own. Several years later, we’ve nurtured it into a standalone game that we hope will whet the appetites of classic puzzler fans and newcomers alike.

Frantic block-stacking is already exhilarating, but imagine if you were to manage the tetriminos from multiple angles. Pit Blocks 3D takes Tetris to a whole new dimension – literally – by challenging you to stack bricks and clear rows on the x, y, and z-axes!

Right out the gate, you’ll be able to journey through five different campaigns, each with their own environments and stories. In one instance, you might be traveling across the galaxy in search of new planets. In another, you’ll help a group of wizards free an arcane forest from the clutches of a dreadful dragon. Each campaign will pose its own obstacles and hazards, but fret not, puzzler purists: we’ve ensured that the core block-stacking gameplay remains intact.

It’s been a long journey making Pit Blocks 3D, but we wanted to thank everyone for their attention and support. We hope you enjoy playing it as much as we did making it.

How long the Game was in development and if it's still in development, early access, or complete: Still in development, 3 months now.

Why you became a game developer in the first place: I always loved games, always tried to make them since I was very young. Now it's time to roll out and go on the bigger stage! I'm also a developer by trade, so development is not a hobby. It's the real thing for me! :)
