Thank you! We might release an update some day, but nothing is decided for now :)

Thank you so much! Happy you enjoyed it :)

Thank you!

We had «menu» as an optional feature if we found the time, however 48 hours passes quite quickly. Would love to expand (and twist!) some of the other core mechanics of JRPGs at a later time as well :)

Thanks! Surprised myself how it actually came together in the last couple of last hours. Not eveything is perfect, but I can’t even imagine how this game would look with a year of dev time :)

Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Thank you! Might expand it some day if we get around to it :)

Thank you! We thought it would be an interesting take on the theme if we changed the framing of a traditional JRPG, instead of only looking at the gameplay.

We will definitely fix up the town to make it easier to navigate, but also add button prompts when you are in range to interact with characters or objects. Thank you for the feedback! :)

Cool idea, the "hand drawn" text really adds to the charm of the game!

Might be a bug, but if I hold the box with i.e. character 1, then switch to char 2, then back to 1, the character sprite will not hold the box anymore. And then I can't drop the box before I move at least one square.

Overall a fun and creative puzzle game, well done!

Thank you! :)

The most unique aspect of the game is narrative at the moment, but also that the gods will resurrect our hero if he dies in combat until he actually fulfills his destiny. If we expand the game, we will definitely make the gameplay more visible and unique!

Thanks, and a good point! :) Just to make it a bit more visible I'll post controls below.

Controls:

WASD or Arrow keys - movement

Space - interact with characters

You sure you made this in 48 hours? Great job!

Gotta say that the soundfx when the controls reversed scared the living crap out of me :D

Gotta say, you nailed the theme! :)

Cool idea and a fun game. Brings back a lot of memories of similar games :)

The poor cabbage man, always getting his cabbages destroyed :( At least in this game, it ends on a happy note!

(Ps, did you try "run" in combat?)

Didn't quite get the controls at first. But from your comment and me realizing how you actually switch screens, it became a really stressful, but fun, experience to make sure the nuclear plant doesn't explode :D

Would have liked to maybe allow for controlling everything with only keyboard. A touchpad is not ideal :(

Well done on your game!

Pretty cool, the physics feels nice. Would have loved to see the destruction up close with a cinematic camera. Good job :)

Pretty hard game. I really had to force myself to memorize my keyboard layout, haha. Fun and cool concept!

Thank you! :D

Would have like to expanded combat and dungeon as well. But also added more narrative content if we had more time. But I'm still pretty happy with we managed to do in our first game jam :)

Thank you. It's hard to get a consistent art style in only 48 hours :)

It happens every time :(

THIS CAR IS OUT OF CONTROOOOL!!!

Pretty hard to control the car, but really satisfying when you finally boost through the enemy cars. This is a fun game with a cool consept, great job :)

Nice idea, interesting way to create a puzzle game. Movement was a bit slow, but I like it. Well done :)

Fun little game. Nice detail that the zombies continues to bleed after the are killed (or re-killed?). Shame that you got busy on day 2, good job either way dude! :)

Very interesting idea. The art style is super nice!

Interesting idea. Didn't get the controls at first, but I like it :D

Pretty hard game. Love the art style!

Really cool puzzle game. Impressive for only 48 hours! Presentation and the first tutorial levels are golden.

Cool twist on Fire Emblem! Your dialog boxes look super nice. Good job :)
