Hi, sorry for the late reply, but that's great! Very happy that my music will help with your game, and yes, please send a link when it's done--I'm looking forward to seeing/playing it!

Hi, thanks! And yep, free to use--have fun... I'd love to see how any of the songs are used in your game

Hi all,

Super excited to join this jam! I'm a composer who loves making colorful, casual, and cozy music, so I'd love to work on a project that caters to such styles. If you're interested, you can check out my portfolio at https://soundcloud.com/basenfelder, or watch my demo reel below. Hope to hear from you!

Incredibly polished and fun. Excellent music too!

Amazing graphics and great music! Seems with more time there could be a lot done with it, but I'm guessing a lot of effort went into creating the world/music/sounds. Really cool effort though :)

Cool concept with funny graphics and music--I found it a bit hard though... having to enter the numbers with the timing could be a little unforgiving. Maybe if there was a countdown metronome that brought you into the number input, I could've coordinated my inputs better (like "4... 3... 2.. 1... ENTER CODE!")

Still, pretty neat to play!

Not to join in the chorus too much but, yeah, def found it a bit hard. I'm a sucker for platformers too so I think with a bit more polish it could be fun... maybe faster movement and better physics?

Also, just FYI, the Santa sprite wouldn't appear in fullscreen mode for me.

Man, I'm a sucker for these puzzle/platforming(ish) games and was really digging this. Unfortunately I'm more of a console guy and am really bad at WASD, so I could only get so far, but I really loved the challenge.

Also, that was some super cool, groovy music!

Yeah, I understand that, and I think it works on the whole... I think it's just my adhd, impatient gaming brain coming out 😬😬

The overall contemplative and slow nature is really nice though

Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for playing!

(1 edit)

Thanks! We were going for a simple concept that could be achieved within a week, so we're glad it came out smoothly :)

And Merry Christmas to you as well!

Thanks for the kind words, and I guess some lucky (or perhaps, unlucky) kid unexpectedly got a big, buff teddy for Christmas!

Thank you so much for playing!

Thanks!

Thanks, and thanks for playing it! Everyone's gotta help out Santa every now and then

Thanks so much and thanks for playing! This game def leaned into humor a bit here and there, which was fun :)

This was AMAZING! Super tough and an especially hard learning curve for me (I"m a console guy and not good with WASD) but really fun and exciting strategy!

Really love the aesthetic and music of the game - they both make it very chill - and I like the idea of a puzzle platformer, but thought the jump would be nicer with a bit more sensitivity in its range.

This was fun buuut I couldn't get very far in it (I'm bad at using ASWD and kept dying within seconds).

Fun game that felt polished... thooough, like others said, a bit hard for me!

Those faceless, nameless, robotic moms were duly frightening and made this into an unsuspecting horror game, which is pretty cool!

Cute game--I especially like the "Mii"-esque characters. Well done for such a short time!

I gotcha... I'll have to try it again :)

I loooove the incredible, simple  art style of this game! It's so unique and its simplicity and innocence fits the story so well.

This was great! Excellent graphics and music... challenging, fun, and ridiculous. Well-done!

Fun concept but as others say, a lot could be improved with faster and smooth controls (and maybe more obstacles). Looks nice though!

Fun, little game, but sometimes it was hard to figure out what the name of the gift referred too (but then again, some were funny, like Sonky!).

Beautiful made game that is nice and reflective, though sometimes I found myself wanting to speed up a bit to get to the next house. Really well-made graphically, and the music choice is terrific :)

Fun, little game! With more time I think different level design/obstacles would be fun, but given the time constraints, it plays well. Nice music too!

Excellent artwork and runs really smoothly. Unfortunately I couldn't interact with the presents, but it def has potential :)

I really had fun playing this! Some of the levels were really challenging and puzzling, which was great. There were a couple glitches here and there that made them harder to navigate, but overall I thought the play was smooth. Also, some of those sounds genuinely had me laughing out loud (is it bad to laugh that much when a kid gets pushed into fire??)

Man, that was a lot of fun--didn't expect the difficulty to ramp up like that!

It took me a minute to get used to the movement but I found this a joy to play. Kinda scratches that OCD itch but, y'know, in a healthy way...

Also, I LOVED the song... super catchy, groovy, and kinda quirky.

Very impressive and ambitious game, especially given the time constraints. Love the atmosphere of the visuals and the moody/chill music too. As some others have said, I think it's a little tooo difficult at the moment (maybe slower white out, or respawning at your last campfire), but I love the potential!

Great game... loved the chill music in the background while connecting me some tracks.

It took me a second to get a hang of this, but once I did I really enjoyed it... really smooth movement!

This was a lot of fun... I love the difficulty curve and buffs!

Oh man, I reeeeally liked this! Great art style and dialog... big Night in the Woods vibes (which I love). Looking forward to the fireworks finale!

Woo! Really cool, fun, and chaotic game!

I liked the chill, relaxing vibe a lot and the general concept but was a little confused as to how the gameplay actually worked. Once I filled up the board, I didn't receive a green score or anything...
