I have to admit that I have absolutely no idea what the error could mean, haha. But thanks for telling me and for playing the game!

:D

The sound for the email notification is actually me making a goldfish noise but pitched up, haha.

All good points! I am quite a fast typist (around 90wpm). Unfortunately, I couldn't playtest it with anyone, so it was quite difficult to know how long to make each day. The obvious answer would have been to have difficulty setting at the start, I guess.

Thanks for playing!

The archer was also good, yeah. I played through the game three times to experiment with builds, which shows what a great job you've done! :D. I love the art style, too. Would love to see you continue with it.

I just tried it again, and it didn't reset anything etc on my computer. I am on Linux, though. So, let's face it, it's probably a Linux thing haha.

I played it for a solid half an hour, it was great! I did find the knight to be the most OP/useful and the mage was just a bit too slow/unpredictable to use a lot. But, maybe that's a skill issue on my part :).

Definitely continue this concept; it's really cool! The foundations of a really great game are there, and you clearly put a lot of time and effort into it. The sound effects gave it a lot of charm. A few things didn't seem to work as expected at times (R didn't restart the level, for me, for example), but it's a 72-hour game jam, so it's to be expected :).

:D. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing!

Haha you must have thought the game was so slow. I did actually consider just making it a series of typing replies as fast as possible, which may have been more fun in the end. Thanks for playing!

Thanks a lot!

Darren Snubbinton, CEO of PlanningCorp, is that you? :D.

Thanks for playing! I experimented with having ambient sounds (I wanted to have a loud coworker that distracted you) or a music track that speeds up periodically, but I just couldn't get something that felt right in time.

Fun fact, all sounds in the game are from a recording of me making a goldfish sound that I pitched down or added reverb to etc, hehe.

Thanks again!

You're welcome! I hope you feel refreshed and relaxed from playing games instead of working ;P

Thanks for playing! I would have loved to give it a lot more personality and make the company much more hilariously dysfunctional, but the GUI stuff took so much of my time allowance. It is what it is :). Thanks again.

I think I am just bad at my own game ;), haha. 10 times? That's awesome! Thanks so much for playing.

Thanks so much for playing! I laughed a lot watching the video. And yes, you also remember the trauma of the jumpscare game! 😂. I used to love playing these types of Flash games with surprises etc, so I wanted to try to emulate this a bit in my game :). Thanks again (I have subscribed!)

Wow, I'm impressed that you got past the final level; the timing is really challenging at the moment! So you didn't die to the first appearance of the big cat? ;P

Yeah, I think the orange cats need changing. In principle, I just wanted to copy the 'Boo' ghosts from Mario, but my character doesn't have a specific direction it faces, so I used the mouse cursor position instead. However, it doesn't quite work as nicely as I wanted.

Thanks a lot for playing :)

Hi all, just discovered that non-16:9 aspect ratios mess the game up somewhat. Also, the final level is *almost* impossible due to an unforeseen bug with the acceleration. Once the voting period for the jam is over, I'll update the game to fix these bugs.

EDIT: Ok, apparently the final level isn't impossible, I am just bad at my own game :).

RE: the animations - I wanted to make the cats bounce a little when they walked and make the Copter Cat's hats spin around. Unfortunately, I just didn't quite have the time :). Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you :). Yeah, the web player sometimes makes it frustrating if the cursor exits the game window. If I had known that'd be a problem in advance I would have designed the levels a tiny bit differently, I think.

Fun idea, for sure! Would have loved to have seen more of it :)

Woops! ^^;

Haha, thank you! I tried to give a lot of clues (without writing anything) that one of the main purpose of the games is to walljump ;). That's why there's lots of flowers up that wall, I wanted to played to realise they can jump off the wall again and again. I think I should have put little cues in thinking back on it, ah well!

Thanks for playing and recording it :)

Press up on the orb :)

Thanks a lot! I agree, the flickering is frustrating haha. It's completely inspired by Super Meat Boy and I would have loved to programmed as smooth control as they did. And agreed, it seems the orb wasn't the most obvious thing, a more literal switch would have been a better option. Thanks again :)

Pretty good too! :D. The sfx are like on an atari 2600! :)

Hehe, trust me, it was worse before! I'm sure its something simple to fix and do but I was focused on making the level interesting and just ran out of time. "Pretty good" is fantastic all things considered! Thank you :).

There's the link to the cart! I thought the web player would automatically share the code/cart actually

What do you mean by "first screen"? If you reached the end with the yellow character then that's the entire game! haha. Other than that, you press "up" on the orbs or "p" blocks and wall jump around :).

I am English but live in Spain so I was fairly distracted during the jam haha.

(Gonna be checking out your games in a sec ;D)
