"Wine (originally an acronym for "Wine Is Not an Emulator") is a compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems, such as Linux, macOS, & BSD"

It lets you run some windows applications on mac but you have to download the mac version of course.

Ill probably implement the "loadout things:" and improved ai but the rest will be up to modding when lua scripting is done.

maybe try WineHQ to play on mac

Simple tutorial on how to start making maps

The 0.3.0 update is almost done and public testing is being done in the discord to find bugs before release.

the same issue happens for me. windows 10 no specific compatibility option and just a normal keyboard and mouse.

it seems that the issue gets worse the longer you have the game open so for the first 10 seconds its good but then it gradually falls apart

also joystick input doesnt have this issue

Thank you! The update 0.3.0 coming out soon will add more stuff.

not sure if this is possible but if you install the windows steam launcher with proton and then have it launched with the game then it should work?

the discord is on the main page of the community tab

Maybe 2 weeks. I don't have a ton of time to work on it but, I definitely still am.

ty for the suggestions.

like a stiffer ragdoll or an actual animation

Ill make a feature where u can set the max corpses and corpse lifetime

it seems fitting for the alt keybind because this functionality is already used for when ur fallen over

that seems a bit too indepth for my vision but would be possible with the upcoming mod support

this would obviously be a bit of an undertaking because all the maps and intended feel of the player were made at this 4ft scale

i might need to change the scale of the player to make the physics feel a bit better because as it turns out the player is about 4 ft tall (i wasn't thinking about the scale when i made the player)

I think I'm going to make the characters more robot like so they shoot off sparks instead of blood, but dismemberment could still be a feature.

So like free aiming. I could probably add this to the ALT keybind for when you're standing because when you're fallen over this keybind would make you pivot your view relative to your current viewangle.

Networking physics like that would be a very difficult thing todo, I would like to accomplish this though.

do you mean the bodycam distortion affects like fisheye

ty for the feedback I'll be improving the ai in the upcoming update and I'll try to make the climbing mechanic more clear in the tutorial

Things that will be for sure in this update.

  • At least 3 new weapons, 2 new vehicles, 2 new armors and 1 new map through NetRadiant
  • Better object spawning menu
  • Better AI
  • Custom map creation through NetRadiant(a forked version) https://github.com/Garux/netradiant-custom.
  • Feet
  • A bunch of misc changes and features. Thank you for the ideas and suggestions

Things I would like to get started in this update.

  • Lua scripting for custom mods
  • publishing to Steam

The release: https://stickrpg.itch.io/physps/devlog/832376/v030-custom-maps-and-a-bunch-more

;)

ill probably lower the pellet count and then lower the bullet speed of all the weapons

lol, tbh another good idea

fixed some stuff and will release soon

(1 edit)

good idea

a competitive game mode would be perfect for this

After collecting some player logs, I've found some bugs, along with feedback from people on Discord who have found other bugs worth fixing to make the game more stable. That's what this update will be.

Thank you for all the feedback and for playing my game. I hope to get this on Steam soon so the public servers won't be region-locked and it will be easier to find them.

my discord is stickrpg#9109 if you are able to send me your Player.log file so i can see what causes you to crash

alternatively you can join my discord to find anyone that might be looking to play or if someone has started hosting a dedicated server https://discord.gg/GGHqzG7Ppn

Idk how everyone would agree on one region. If you want you could host ur own permanent server and tell people which region they can find it in.

Ideally you could just wait till its on steam.

can you goto "C:\Users\***YOURWINDOWSUSERNAME***\AppData\LocalLow\gamele\PhysPS" and see if there is a Player.log file or any log file

also what version of windows are you using

if u hold right click while looking down then flick ur mouse up and then when ur arms reach the top of your rotation press alt + space then hold ctrl you can do easy backflips

That would be awesome. You can already donate (its not the most obvious how to) when pressing the download button on itch page and then naming your own price (as the donation). Any donations are greatly appreciated and I will be putting this on steam in the future regardless.
