The latest links are all of the chapters including 9.   There should be no need to repurchase.   Just redownload.

The beta for 1.01 that is undergoing review right now has all "dreamyzoom" transitions removed.

For what it's worth, I realized after release that once the player embarks on the casual path, he is not given an opportunity to change course recover from that poor choice.

One pitfall of development is that you understand the pathing so well, it's easy to fall into the trap of assuming everyone else does too.

While I think both girls' displeasure was adequately telegraphed, it does seem unfair to punish the player in Chapter 9 for a single choice made in Chapter 6.

The result will be the v1.01 patch, which will add an additional scene.   This scene will provide the MC an option to be proactive about making things right before decisions are made for him.

While it will not add new endings, or provide a casual route for both LI's, it will be far more fair for player agency.

This will not protect the MC from the consequences of cheating (while in a committed relationship) however.

I hope this helps.

I expect this patch version to be ready sometime tomorrow.

I'll remove the dreamyzoom transition from use.   When Ren'Py updated their video renderer, something about that bit of code always behaved a little wonky.   It's not so important to the game that it's worth keeping.

Thank you for the bug report!

It doesn't tell me which transition is causing the issue, unfortunately.   I'll be posting a patch (v1.0a) in the next day or two.   I'll see if I can track this down and eliminate the problem transition between now and then.   Do you remember precisely where you got this error?

Thanks!

Thank you kindly, that means a lot!

I wouldn't read that much into it.

If anything, our frustration hasn't come from interest at the consumer level, but rather the sometimes draconian behavior of the platforms (particularly Patreon) which we rely on to support our effort.

We intend to follow Chasing Sunsets with another title.

Our expectation is to finish this year.   Chapter 9 in the first half and the final Chapter 10 in the second half.

After that we will release an update that addresses some early quality issues with the art and animations.

We have also discussed adding a free DLC at some point that looks at the protagonists' outcomes a few years down the road after the ending.

2025 is when we expect to be focusing on our second game, Firebreak.

Yes, purchasing here grants access to all future chapters as well.

There is no android version of this game.

Thank you for the kind words!

That's why we do it!

Text me on Steam and reference your email address.

If the domain you sent the email from ends in "rcor.de" then we would have to find another method to communicate with you, if you don't see an email in your junk or spam folders.

Check your mail.

Send an email to support@stonefoxstudios.net and our naughty secretary will see if we have any keys left.   She'll want you to be able to prove your Itch purchase, though.   Keep in mind, the Steam and Non-Steam binaries are slightly different, so your saves wouldn't carry over.

We deploy to all distribution vectors on the same day, John.   Steam included.   Always.

Minor correction...The story is told from the perspective of past and present.   Sex that happens in the past is considered "established history," so player's don't always have a choice.

In the present timeline, the player ALWAYS has a choice.

We are in fact...Likely in the same "universe," and possibly featuring some girls who were anciliary to the CS plot.

Stay tuned!

Neither of us are:

Stoya (Writer/Coder):   West coast with military background so stationed all over the world

Kentyrr (Artist):   Midwest entire life with occasional US travel

We will continue to offer updates to the game here for paid customers until the game is complete, even if we discontinue sales on this platform.

If that fails, Steam keys are one potential remedy.

Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement.

For the script errors on Steam, you can usually correct these by going to "Settings > Help > Clear Persistence. "   This will restart the game, but correct any mis-aligned achievements and unlocks.

Let me know if that works for you.   You can find us on Patreon here.

As always, all platforms update the same day.

I've uploaded Steamdeck patched versions that should correct this issue.   Sorry for the poor initial Steamdeck experience!

We don't actually own one to test on.

Sadly, we cannot support Android anymore.

We will happily provide you with a PC or Mac version at your discretion, or a refund, if you purchased with Android support in mind.   Email us at admin@stonefoxstudios.net, and we'll see how to make things right.

Mirrors for both PC and Mac should be updated and functional now.   Let me know if they are not!

Yes...0.8 includes Chapter 7.

I understand the number is a bit confusing since the 0.1 was the Prologue, so the numbers are off chapter-per-revision number by one.

We aren't going to make any legitimate purchaser pay twice, John.

If you paid once, we'll ensure you get the full game.

Send an email to support@stonefoxstudios.net, and we'll make sure you get the latest and greatest SenorGuac.   Further, the download links should function on this site for a few more days.

We won't leave Itch customers hanging.   I believe we can still update our binaries here, and anyone who has already purchased the game can download it.

We will simply disable NEW purchases.

Thank you!

That sounds like the easiest solution.   We'll be posting the Chapter 7 update very soon, and we'll see how that goes.

Best,

SFS

Also seeing this error today.

Kentyrr and I are discussing our next project now.

This story will end in a few updates, but we hope that won't be it for some of our favorite characters.   We would certainly like any future projects to take place in the same universe at least!

When we decide on our follow-up project, we'll announce it on the AVN_Lovers Reddit as well as our supporter platforms.

Thank you for the encouragement and kind words!   We hope we continue to impress with Chapter 7!

All platforms update same day!

That's fantastic advice!   Thank you and glad you enjoyed it!

You have to select "Skip Unseen" I think in the pref's menu to enable that function.   If it still doesn't work, let me know.

And thank you kindly...That's the kind of encouragement that keeps us going.   Keep your eyes peeled for two additional easter eggs in the next chapter!

Thanks for pointing that out.

You're 100% correct...I've updated the Ren'Py framework between the demo version and the full release.   It didn't occur to me to update the demo as well.

I've added this to my to-do list, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Glad to hear it...Been frantically checking the support email for the past few days hoping I didn't miss your request!

(1 edit)

Sorry to hear that.   This is the first complaint of that nature we've received.   I will test the link on my PC, and potentially reupload another binary zipped with another program.

Can you confirm this is the PC version we're talking about here?

**Update**  I'm unable to replicate this behavior.   Did you end up running into a quote issue with Mega?   Please send an email to "support@stonefoxstudios.net" referencing this post, and I'll send you an alternative download link.

Thanks!
