*Boom*
I can't believe I didn't try that one, haha (I admit to have rushed into downloading the game and didn't pay too much attention to the description which literally had the answer to my problem)
Thanks dude and now that I think about it, maybe adding keyhints would be a good idea for less intuitive players (like me)
That's great to know! I'll stay tuned for the next update and of course I'm more than happy for you to see the footage, I'm still deciding about either making one long video of me playing all the games or upload each gameplay separately (the former is more likely, therefore I might upload it a while after the GameJam ends)
*I hate that this looks like self promoting but-)
You can find a link to my channel on my creator page! Just in case...
Interesting concept and indeed creative!
Although it would be cool if you could like.. buy some sort of rope for quickly returning back in case you get too deep.
(Aside from my fingers suffering, everything else was fine, part of it is my fault for rushing, haha)
I got down until reaching depth 100 where I tried drawing a weird circular creature but it devoured me cuz I wasn't paying attention to my position.
Fun and relaxing indeed!
One thing that bothered me was that sometimes it felt like I did hit the "center fishing spot" (I don't know what to name it) but still failed, so to fish succesfully I decided to hit R just when the line enters, right at the edge.
Also when buying something I didn't have any money, but I coulnd't go back so I pressed every button but nothing getting stuck at "Buy", eventually having to restart the game...
(Also not a bother but just in case you wanna polish this little detail, when catching a fish and that box down there appears, if you move the fishing rod disappears, despite remaining on the "Fishing" event)
But for the rest, I liked the game!
(Also when I found Puffarius, my first instinct was trying to feed em with fish lol)
Beated on second try, the only thing that bothered me was that the lists were disappearing randomly (or maybe they had a timer with a specific duration to be shown) and having to put again the butter on the pan everytime I made a mistake (not sure if it's a glitch) but for the rest, it was pretty fun overall!
The game's fun and quite challenging! :)
Played it for a while, tried to reach 50 000 points but 34 200 is as far as I went. (Might upload gameplay, I'm allowed?)
I know you stated that you won't probably update it, but if you would, consider adding either an invincibility timer after getting hit (Those moments when there's lots of fishes and you go from 3 to 0 lives in a couple seconds is a little frustrating) or a blocking ability (probably would go well with "S").
Tried to run the game, got "Your browser does not support graphics API "WebGL 2" which is required for this content."
Does I followed some tutorials that claim to fix this, involving enabling some flags on my browser and making sure "Use hardware acceleration when available" is available, but there's no fix, did anyone else got this error?
(Maybe my device is just waaay too old for this)
Thanks dude! c:
I'm glad you liked the art, I'd say it turned out well for my first attempt. (The pufferfish originally was meant to be Black on my attempt to be original, but since it didn't look well with the dark background of some levels, I eventually went with a more common brown/white color)
And I'm glad you liked the movement as well, cuz it was a little complicated to implement (it came with some glitches that luckily I managed to fix on the last day).
And yeah I plan to release the full game one day so stay tuned!
Thanks! :D
That guy's name's Marlote and he's sort of a "Safe Zone" in-game, whoever gets close can't harm each other cuz they'll be busy dancing.
(But can be tricky cuz you can't grab items (I'm still deciding on how it could affect energy without making him too much of an annoyance), my goal is that every character has to have an upside and a downside, you'll see them on future updates!)
