That's an interesting idea! I might consider such a thing, as a risk to be dealt with/an avoidable mistake. And I agree, 5 minutes ended up being just a little too long. Thanks for playing and the feedback ❤️

Unity executables require the Windows libraries/dll's to run, so only uploading the exe results in the problem you're seeing. Next jam if you're using Unity, package your exported folder as a zip file for uploading. I would say upload it for this one but I believe Kenney would disqualify that as it's after the submission deadline :/
It's a good character controller, very fun to run and jump around. But I tried attacking using LMB and nothing happens for me. So then I thought the objective was to keep away from the zombies, which is also fun with the character controller but without much space to move that quickly loses it's charm. Given some more time this could be a great game!
Thank you for playing! Yep I felt the same about the time, I've since lowered it to about 3 minutes (with some new time mechanics that I'm testing so we'll see how that develops). I also found out the percentage at the end can be way off so I've corrected that too, but for now what's uploaded is the "meh, close enough" version. I'll be uploading these changes and anything else after the jam is wrapped up. Thanks for the feedback ❤️
It's fun! But I'm not so sure I see much of the theme incorporated. I like the little details you've added, like stereo sound based on player position. But I also noticed that the ship upgrades never saved and the shop items are never actually bought (at least for me), and I was perpetually sent back to the first level. I like the concept you're going for but I think it needed more time. Good work on what you got done for it though :)
Nice, very nice. Genuinely feels good to grow the plane, just wish you could dodge off-screen planes a little easier when large. Maybe an indicator on the edge of the screen for a warning? Just ideas if you want to take it further after the jam :)
Sorry about my entry as it requires downloading, I used Gamemaker Studio 2 so I didn't have the web/HTML5 export option. It's only 6MB though so hopefully anyone can play it https://stridden.itch.io/it-sproots
If you have a program like Photoshop or Aseprite you can make separate png files for each sprite and animate each in your game engine. But if you'd like a pre-animated file for your project, you will also be able to export to a .gif file. If you want free alternatives, you can use GIMP or LibreSprite, but I think I have some better news for you.
I also meant to include individual files in the download, so this is a great reminder for me to provide those! You should be able to access them by downloading the .zip file where the downloads were previously. I don't think you'll have to re-purchase it but if you do let me know and I will try to refund it. Best of luck with your project!
P.S. Also be sure that if you're upscaling them that you're using no upscaling filters as it will blur the sprite. If you need upscaled versions, let me know!
