This was pretty fun, I liked that there was some strategic element to it! I think and indicator of when a bubble is about to pop by itself could be useful, I was never sure if I was pushing it too much

Thanks for playing the game. The part of pushing it too much is one of the main tensions in the game. Since you can never know how big a bubble can grow. The new version, which will come after the voting period, will have the effect that when two bubbles join the max size of the bubble will be increased by a little. .. In the current version it's more important to pop each bubble to gain the max number of points. joining bubbles currently, still loses you net points.

I made something really similar! I took a bit more of an aim trainer approach, but I like the strategy and target prioritisation that comes from popping the bubbles before they merge. I had no trouble understanding the game immdiately, which is great. The music was nice and relaxing too. If I had to make a suggestion, I would look at potentially adding a difficulty increase as the game progresses, it's a tiny bit easy. Second, polish like particle effects etc. always make a game pop. Great job!

Yes, the game has no progression at this time. The focus was on tactic rather than reaction speed. I am thinking about introducing more colors and possibly something that will give you extra points when you pop combinations. of colors in the right order. Like a multiplier.

Simple, sweet, and straight to the point with a fun use of the theme.  There's some similarity with Vimlark's "Click the Circle" game which I think game me an advantage and made it easy to get going :D

Yes, while "Click the Circle" was not the direct inspiration for the idea, I watched his video after I had kind of decided for what I wanted to do and his idea was going into the final implementation.

An interesting idea with small bubbles popping reducing your score.  Took me a minute to understan, and then I was trying to let them get as big as possible (which then made me run into the clicks not registering problem ^^").  With the bugs worked out, this would be a fun arcade-like game

Yeah, the bugs are annoying. I have a collider for the spawn area that "sucks up" the clicks. It was easy to fix but it is annoying that it is in the released version. Thanks a lot for playing my game.

Pretty fun game, interesting that you get negative points for popping it when it's too small. At first I was just popping them when they first appeared and had like -1000 points and then by accident realized big ball big points. Great work! Keep it up!

Yes, the idea came from the theme. I wanted you to give them time to grow. My first idea was to be a bubble farmer... You needed to try to get the largest bubble you can and remove the "weeds" that hinder its growth. The reward function does not really support it. There is a better reward to harvest as many bubbles as possible and not let the same colors merge. When opposite colors are about to touch, you need to harvest the larger bubble.

This is really cool! Definitely bare bones as you said, but I can think of a few ways you could evolve it into a fun little puzzle game. You could have levels where you only get X clicks, and have to meet a minimum point requirement before your clicks run out. Difficulty of puzzle could be affected by score, number of clicks, spawn rate of bubbles, and proximity of the spawns.

I'd also recommend adding a little +score pop up that appears and disappears on top of each bubble after you pop it. It's difficult to know how many points you are earning otherwise, because keeping an eye on the score at the top while also watching the bubbles is tough.

The other thing I am working on is having the bubbles grow a little nicer.. and that they pop in a nice way.

I played a similar game in the jam, but this has a better implementation. I liked that bubbles of same color join together to make a bigger one. Fun to play!

Great idea. I was a little confused at the beginning, so I read the instruction again and it made much more sense. However, it often happened to me that a new bubble spawned under my large bubble so it popped without me being able to prevent that. Would be nice to give the player a chance to prevent it. Interesting game idea tho, good job!

yes, a better spawning mechanic is something I want to do. But it is also a risk of farming a large bubble. But I don’t want things to spawn under bubbles.

The idea is nice, I didn't understand I needed to protect the bubble from others at first avan if I read the description, me slow sometimes :D.

But after that, it kinda had that strategic part that add more fun, well done!

Ahh this is a really satisfying game!   Got 4317 not bad!  The limited bubble resource and clicking early to give negative points are really cool ideas to get more efficient for scoring.

I got 4402, is that a high score? Anyway, its evidently an adictive game, and a great idea for 'growth'. I also love the penalty for popping bubbles too early, as it prevents spamming and makes you think about when to pop each bubble. Aside from the bugs, its really well executed. Congratulations!
