Really polished and fun for a 48 hour jam game!
Best I got was 1092 (was like 10192 but I did poorly last minute lol)
Do think for a jam game the learning and difficult curve is very high however, like my first 2 attempts I made zero money at all. Took me awhile to understand you kinda need to draw on purpose so make any sort of money, and that the robot and still give you a ten for accuracy even if your drawing isn't perfect.
Also think 10 seconds seems a bit too quick, think it either needs to be bumped up to like 12 or 15, or have some sort of time limit in the tutorial because the lack of one made me assume you're supposed to make your art perfect.
All together though the games pretty cool! The kinda crude art matches with the gameplay and it fits the theme a good bit : )
Reminds me a lot of the Fire Tower boardgame.
Pretty cool take on the "genre" of creepy card games inscryption and buckshot roulette started.
Think the game doesn't hit as hard as those however, mostly because there's not really any building tension before things start getting crazy, kinda starts out at the top and just stays there so it's a bit lack luster.
The actual gameplay is pretty fun though, also the setting is unique compered to the other games I've seen like this. Think with a bit more depth and some more versatile items this could be very good : )
Super neat game, love all the character designs.
Only slight gripe is that I wish the enemies got a bit more varied, even in small ways. Having it that the pigs eggs bounces left and right a bit to make them harder to catch or the skeletons coming back to life with one egg after too long would've added a lot of replay value. Still really cool, keep up the good work!
Also boner the skeleton is overpowered please nerf
A lot of fun! only think I think would be nice is some way to cancel your charge. Happened a few times where I'd start charging a direction to move, realize that if I move that direction I'll die no matter what, but I've been charging to long so there's nothing I can do.
Other than that this is one of the cooler games I've seen made in GDevelop, feels like a DS game or something
Really cool game, but i was expecting some sort of twist.
With the game taking some inspiration from chipper and son's (I'm just assuming, the aesthetic and game play are similar) I was thinking there was gonna be monsters or something that try and kill you during the night or some creepy factor.
Games still neat, a fun little time waster. Liked the little business man at the start
Hey! Don't know if you'll ever see this but I was one of the people that came up and played Silver Star at the little college showcase thing you were in and we talked about game dev a bit.
I'm getting ready to start applying to colleges but I have a few questions about the game design courses. If there's anyway I could message you a few that would help a lot! Thanks : )
Idk if I'm a dumbass, but I had to play a solid 3 times before I understood how the chart worked, the arrows seem swapped with how a normal rock paper system works. Other than that the game's great. Love how evil animals can end up killing other evil animals, that alone adds a ton of fun to the game. Been wanting to do 7DRL for awhile and was looking at some past submissions, definitely using this one for inspiration :)
I usually don't like these sort of "type to moving and interact" games but this one is pretty good! because you only work with 1 and 0 it less of how fast you can type and more of how fast your reflexes are. Only real negative is that I think a health bar for the house would've been nice, with how fast pace the game is it really needs something more concrete then the house getting busted up a bit. Great little arcade game
Game is very satisficing to move around in and I like how the snowflake dude mocks you, but there is no difficulty curve. Most rage games ease you in by having the first couple minutes be pretty easy so that whenever you fall it's that much more frustrating. Past the first 3 platforms the game it already pretty tricky so idk. Love the game but it needs to ease you into it a ton more.
Pretty fun, like the art a lot. Is the ghost with all the boats the final boss? Got to her and was stomped because the boats had a ton of health lol. One thing I'll say is that idk if I just got a busted build on my first go, but other than the first boss I was able to kill the majority of them in under 5-10 seconds, I played as Rotshot so he may just be a bit powerful.
Game is pretty fun! shooting enemies is really satisfying and the variety is goo (I like the big wall dude a lot). Only complaint is that I the being on should drain power a bit faster, was able to have it on 90% of the time and that gets rid of the felling of swapping from defenseless to guns blazing. Liked it a lot, probably my favorite game from the jam so far
Like the art style and the idea of trying to get your team across while not killing them was creative, but I never felt like I could get a grasp of how to play effectively. Because early on both red and yellow will be constantly on top of each other, you can't really kill one without killing the other. To be fair the lever mechanic fixes this a bit, but it could have been cool if maybe each spawner also had a lever where you can stop the flow for a couple seconds? Really cool game though that could be easily expanded upon, like new variants of the yellow and red people, or maybe even hazards that play into the on/off theme.
Really fun concept with a decent bit of content, thought getting detected was pretty funny. Only other thing I'll say is that some parts needed polishing up a bit, like the first time I cheated through a wall I got stuck and my character when all jittery, and then I glitched out again I fell off the world but it didn't kill me so I had to restart : ( Even with those minor gripes the game is pretty cool
Pretty neat game, thought the idea of stuff appearing while you aren't looking was neat and having your light shut off added some tension. But I couldn't find any exit or any type of ending, without some map or any way to indicate where I was going I found my self walking in circles constantly. Cool game you've got here
Day 3 is out, hope everyone who has worked on it so far likes it : )
