Good afternoon!
After two and a half months of development, my dream project has finally been uploaded to itch.io! With the support of my teammates, we were able to construct an innovative and fun concept that combines ninjas and cats.
The project's name is Neko no Shinobi: Clawsome Clash. Like a typical arcade game, your objective is to defeat as many enemies as possible without dying. Naturally, this title has a solo mode, a coop mode, and localization support.
As an indie game designer, I value the feedback and critiques from potential players. If you could, please share your thoughts covering the following subjects:
1.) Art / Visuals
2.) Level Design
3.) Audio
4.) Controls
5.) Replay-ability
Thank you in advance! Below is the link to access the game:
Hello gamers!
I just released a free-to-play arcade game that combines ninjas and cats! It's called Neko no Shinobi: Clawsome Clash. This project has you fighting against an army of malicious dog ronin. Your objective is to defeat as many enemies as possible without dying. In addition to that, the game also supports local multiplayer!
Up to two players can slash and clash on the same screen! If you want, please share your comments and thoughts. Your feedback helps me immensely as an indie game designer.
Enjoy!
I had an absolute blast while playing Belu's Dungeon! It's been a long time since I played a Zelda-inspired game like this one!
As a pixel artist, I loved the visuals for the characters, UI, and props. The audio is pretty cool too! The overall theme is quite fitting for a dungeon title.
Lastly, the controls were smooth. Had no problem switching between weapons and picking up new ones.
In closing, the following points aren't criticisms, but merely suggestions:
1. I would implement a checkpoint system so the player doesn't have to start at the very beginning after each death. Sometimes, it felt like I was being punished once I lost all my items.
2. Having local multiplayer would spice up the gameplay.
3. I think your project should include game controller support (i.e. Xbox).
Can't wait to play Belu's Dungeon more in the future!
Fun game! I really enjoyed the story and interaction mechanics. Felt bad for Timmy throughout the game, especially towards the end.
I'm not entirely sure if this is a prototype or not. But if you choose to expand upon the project, I suggest adding alternate endings to Timmy's story. That way, the player can change the fate of Timmy's parents.
Hope this feedback was helpful!
Hello, I had a ton of fun playing this! Your game is quite captivating and ambitious. I listed all my thoughts below in this post. Hope my feedback is helpful:
[Pros]
- Audio is awesome and stellar
- Graphics are nice
- Music is very catchy
- The transitions / cutscenes in the project are well designed
- Ending is hilarious
[Cons]
- Mouse movement feels a bit laggy and slow at times
- It takes a long time for the 'climax' of the game to begin
- It would've been nice if the game provided hints for the player (i.e. upside-down store area)
- The lighting was a bit of an issue after the earthquake. It was difficult to see in some areas
Hello everyone, I'm an intermediate pixel artist looking to join a group for the game jam. I have experience in designing characters, tiles, UI, environment assets, props, etc. If you believe I'm qualified to be on your team, just send me a DM on Discord. My username is taronic449. I wish you all the best of luck for the upcoming game jam!
Awesome game! I haven't played a parody of Balloon Tower Defense in years! There are so many cool elements in your project. For example, I love the character models. Each one is unique in its own way, so kudos to the team's 3D artist! Music and sound effects are pretty stellar, the controls are easy to understand, and the VFX are neat too! I might've encountered a bug where an enemy kept advancing despite getting hit by all the projectiles. That same enemy also didn't have its health bar displayed, which is weird. But apart from that, I adore Wanderous Defense! I will definitely recommend this game others!
What a captivating title! I find the implementation of a 'decay storm' to be quite unique. In addition to that, I also enjoyed the music, visuals, and sound effects! My only complaint is the fact that when you charge up your wand and fire from it, your magic doesn't slow down the storm. But great game nonetheless!
Hello there! Before I share my feedback, I just want to congratulate you on making this game. I know creating an original title from scratch isn't easy, especially in a brand new engine. With that being said, I tried out Magic Mayhem, and here are my thoughts:
Pros:
- The game is functional. Had no problems with the controls.
- Visuals are quite nice, especially for the wizard.
- Character animations are pretty cool.
Cons:
- The project lacked the jam theme and special object.
- Magic Mayhem contained different art styles, such as pixel art and clip art. I would advise picking one next time.
- The flying pet(s) that circles around the player can be a bit bothersome.
Nice work on developing this game! I had a blast while playing this! It's hard to believe that this is only a prototype!
I thought the visuals and graphics were mesmerizing. I adore the pixel art, and the enemy animations were cool too! In addition to that, I had no problems with the controls. Everything was smooth; no lags, no delays.
Lastly, the audio was pretty stellar in my opinion. I hope you continue to develop this game in the foreseeable future. I would advise adding some spells for the player to utilize. For instance, there could be a spell where all the enemies on the field get wiped out in one blow.
Another example could be a shield spell that protects the Tree of Life for a brief time if the player fails to defeat all the incoming enemies. Congratulations on your achievement!
