These icons are so beautiful! They make my prototypes 10x easier to look at. Thanks!

Hey Redigo! The fantasy hack wasn't up to the quality I wanted when I upgraded the game, is it won't really fit into my future plans for this project.
BUT I'm happy to send you the PDF if you're curious about it. But I can't promise it will be compatible with the latest version of Overpowered or the dice app.

Thanks so much for these beautiful sprites! I used them for my Tabletop Roleplaying game: https://www.technicalgrimoire.com/overpowered
The secret is that you just need a range of numbers to use and lots of obstacles to roll against.
A lot of OSR games tend to have numbers from 3-4 (damage, weak creature HP), 12-15 (AC/DC), and only a few numbers higher than 20 (boss HP, etc). A single dungeon room might have 4 goblins (each with 6 HP), 3 piles of treasure, a fire trap (DC 14), and a dragon (d12+4 damage). All in one area.
But Blades in the dark (and other story games) have scenes that flow from one to another. I don't think Overpowered would be as satisfying to play through unless you laid them out in greater detail (6 guards around the manor, 3 ghosts in the vault, etc etc).
For shadowrun I would use the pool sizes. E.g. if something has a soak of 12 dice, then you need to spend 13 or more Power to overcome them.
If all else fails, then simply assign your own values to things.
Minor obstacle - 4
Average obstacle - 8
Tough obstacle - 12
Major obstacle - 16
I hope that helps!
I think you've got two solutions, one simple and one more complex.
Simple: you're a wizard with magic crystals. They can absorb and transfer energy into themselves.
Complex: the dice represent motivation/inspiration. Finding loot and making progress increase your motivation. Fighting and overcoming costs motivation. Each transaction could be roleplayed depending on the number involved. And resting let's you reroll your motivations.
We left it vague on purpose; only Crabs/Witches/Wizards are explicitly sentient.
If your group is excited to talk to fish, then fish should be sentient (if a little dumb)! Ask your players what they would enjoy most.
Pg. 17 has some more examples. "Skeletons can also communicate ideas/emotions/images via touch. This allows them to “talk to fish” in a way."
Hey Razielsonofkain! We're going to be running a Kickstarter to fund the print run. If you missed the Itch pre-orders, then the Kickstarter is your best bet to secure a copy.

Hey y'all!
I know Tabletop RPGs are a weird corner of this site, but our newest game is out and funding on Itch!
You can learn more about it on the Bones Deep page.
Anyone else have success funding/growing their game through Itch? I welcome any advice y'all can offer!
And I hope you enjoy being a spooky Skeleton beneath the waves.
I'd be honored if you included Lowcountry Crawl, Mythic Mortal, and Multiplied!

Hi, just wanted to say, first off: LOVE this game. I really like the amount of forageables you've put in, I've never seen a game in this genre throw so many cool things out into the world to collect right off the bat. Graphics are also super pretty, like holy cow the Map screen is gorgeous.
I would like to make a note that as of right now, it seems like all the quests and buildings require quite a bit of mining, maybe TOO much? Or maybe the cost of building with smelted bars is too high atm?
Once I saw I needed a LOT of bronze bars for just about every quest, I've started mining like crazy, but I feel like ive been spending all of my time/energy in there just to build one thing. I've upgraded my pick axe but mining one iron node takes out like half my energy bar.
Other than that, seriously, this game is precious and so fun to explore! Keep it up!
