To the people who downvoted this suggestion: I hope you microwave an Argemia

Holy shit I'm not the only person in the game to use the radial action menu?!

Don't use the app. This game is not intended to be used with the app.

Giving this my 2 cents. I personally believe the hotbar is a hot mess right now, and I have 2 ideas to fix it.
1. You can "favorite" items where you can assign an item to have priority on a hotbar slot.
2. The hotbar no longer automatically gets filled by items in your inventory. You have to manually set what items go into your hotbar and which slot.

You cannot adjust polarity or frequency if you have the radial action menu equipped. It also treats various computer related functions as if they're objects. Some examples are changing the polarity direction, importing/exporting a signal from a drive, using the astro-processing-unit, changing max computing level, and deleting/upgrading signals.

Buff the crank flashlight.

The main complaint I have is how awful it is to try and charge the thing.
I suggest making it possible to charge while having the flashlight equipped instead of unequipping it and having to hold it, risking accidentally throwing it away. Also buff the amount that it charges from 0.3 percent battery per click to 0.6 percent per click. I genuinely don't mind the lower battery life if charging the flashlight itself is made easier.

Also, I think making it possible to hold down right click to charge the flashlight would be very good for accessibility purposes.

I understand that multiplayer has almost no chance of happening. But if it WERE to happen, I think a way more players could be handled like this:

Player 1 would be Kel obviously, Player 2 would be Ena due to the I don't feel well video. Someone would have to replace Ena in the emails during multiplayer, maybe Ken or Max would be the main person doing emails?
If this game were to be 3 or 4 player however, player 3 and 4 could be Kerfur-o's that you have to build for a player to possess so they can join your game. This would be to prevent the game from being too easy at the beginning.

0.8.2 Maybe earlier bug, scrolling in the console no longer works, as in I try to scroll up and down when scr is enabled with J and K but it doesn't do anything. It will disable J and K as something I can press though.

Something that could potentially be added is a camcorder to have an in-game way to record your footage. There probably wouldn't be a viewfinder to make sure the game doesn't drop 20 fps every time you pull it out though. Similar to photos you'd be able to upload it to a videos folder, but also a way I'd suggest being able to watch the footage in-game is through a VHS player. I think it'd be really cool to look back at footage you recorded while inside of the game itself. Maybe when you pause the game and then unpause while recording, the footage will have a static effect play for a moment to make it seem less like the footage was spliced or something.

There's this idea I've had in the back of my head since 0.7. What if at night time there would rarely be a creature that mimics the red light of a sattelite, and if you get too close it eats you or something? There would have to be some slight differences with the red light so you aren't just playing a guessing game if you don't have the digital map or don't perfectly remember the layout of the world. Maybe for example it could flicker ever so often or the tone of red is slightly different?

I understand where you were coming from with the kerfur omega crafting recipe being significantly harder, but I think the recipe needs to be not as easy as before, but DEFINITELY not as hard and insane as it is rn there's gotta be some middle ground here.

My question is, what settings are you using?

I plan on using the Steam Deck as my main and only computer in the relative future and so I was wondering if for people like me or people on Linux, we could get support for this type of OS? While technically they can run, I've noticed that at least with the Steam Deck, VotV doesn't run particularly well. I find this strange considering my garbage pc which can't run games like Elden Ring (While the Steam Deck can,) doesn't struggle as much to run the game with the same settings.
