It adds a multiplier to the research you already do. The multiplier is 500 dolphin drones = +1x research, if you have less than 500 it’ll be a smaller multiplier but it still counts, e.g. 250 is +0.5x

The help needed is mostly writing. The idea is for it to be a world with options to choose, so the more writing and ideas there is, the better. If you think this is something you could competently do, feel free to send me contact details via email to tevazi at airmail dot cc.

An update is currently in the works for another mode that is a little different in gameplay and less of an idle game, but still focused on a more personal view of the situation. Might be a while until it comes out, though, because the scope is much bigger and it’s just 2 people who do not always have time to do that much writing. It will, hopefully, feature multiple things that hinder your progress and require management.

Pretty much. It’s random chance, so it can happen. You’re lucky if that happens, since that means you get more resources at that time.

I really enjoyed inscryption so a game like this is always a treat. Great job with the visuals and the general feel, was a bit too easy but that’s not a big deal.

This game really puts weird robot sex on another level. Good 👍

The stats reminded me of disco elysium most of all, that’s really interesting.

Actually, this is probably the game that made me excited for more the most this jam.

I wanted to try TIC-80 out and this seemed like a good opportunity to make something simple that people would play. That worked out well enough, I used most of the things it has to offer I think.

Indeed, as the game says in the menu, it is encouranged to not get everyone: I basically could not figure out a better way to make it feel punishing if the cops get you and went with the “very hard arcade game” feel.

The collisions are tile-based, yeah, unfortunately I don’t think it’s possible to get them smaller than 1 tile without doing some magic that I am not skilled enough to do, or hard coding them manually somehow.

This game feels really good to play. And the squish jelly sounds are a perfect fit. It’s very fun and made me smile, very good game.

The bunnies took me a while, figuring out I have to continue clicking on the cup, but other things mostly made sense after a bit of thinking. Very cute art, plus I love point and click games, so this is really my cup of tea.

The transitions were the most problematic area that I could not figure out in the end. Doing any kind of collisions in TIC is very annoying especially if they’re less-than-sprite-sized (which you need for it to feel any good). That and the music.. Thank you (and everyone in the thread) for the kind words

Very interesting concept, but also it feels like the only result that matters is the very last card of the very last date location, since they can’t go over 100% it seems if you don’t have the very last one, you’ll always lose.

I am open to suggestions and/or collaboration, though I have not specifically seeked anyone out myself. I try to find things I myself would like first and foremost and sometimes it’s tricky.

Currently do not have any strong ideas for new updates (only thoughts of what could be interesting), unfortunately. I’d love to do another country update, but that would probably require new art to match which is the biggest limiting factor. The personal part was really an idea I got because I could do that without finding or comissioning art (and I’d rather not comission art for the game myself since I am not making any profit from this).

Yes, that is the case. I am planning to clarify it at some point in the future.

If you hover the mouse over the capture button it should say why.

You need 100 materials to reshape. If you are at the drone cap, you’ll need to reshape one into a blank one and discard it. After that you should be able to capture a PR one (if you hover over the use blank button it will tell you that you need to have captured one manually before to use a blank).

If this happens again, please open the browser console (F12) and tell me what the error there is (I’ve updated the build here so it should show proper error messages in the console).

It seems to be working fine on the latest version of edge for me. Reloading the page or restarting the browser loads the game correctly.

What browser are you having issues with? In general some privacy addon may be blocking it, too.

If you’re playing in private browsing mode, it might not work properly in some browsers, because the block local storage/indexed db.

There may be an update at some point, but I’m kind of out of ideas for a theme for an update at the moment, that would work both art- and gameplay-wise.

  1. There’s an export function for save files if you are afraid of losing progress. Additionally, it does not in fact reset on update I believe.
  2. There is no permanent progression between runs through the game and the game has concrete endings after which your only choice is starting from scratch.

You probably didn’t capture every kind of drone you researched. You need to capture every one manually at least once for it to show up in the list.

I have some plans for continuation of the story from that point where the paths converge, but nothing concrete. It might happen eventually.

That’s great to hear. The tooltips are mostly tidbits that show prices or little suggestions of what things do, so not that important.
