Hit F4.
(it’s not intuitive, haha)
You’re not dumb - there’s definitely issues I need to work through on gating and progression - I’m probably going to put a quest log in the game to help people out.
I think where you are - you need to go to the bed on the right side of aurora’s cabin on the first floor. That should trigger the next event.
Grinding won’t ever be really needed in this game - At least not in the first part. I’m more interested in telling a story than making a challenging game.
Also thanks for playing and let me know if you have any other issues progressing.
Wow! Thank you for the support it is immensely appreciated!
I don’t want to give too much away but piercing may or may not be a story element later on in the game…
“Corruption” is definitely an influence on ROT. Any game that has step-by-step visual changes is incredibly appealing to me - especially when it’s more than just a light outfit change.
If you like Corruption - try Moniker Smith’s “Bloodlines” too.
To be fair that’s easy to miss.
I plan on fixing a lot of the gates before releasing the next update.
The problem I’m having (and it’s not an excuse, just a reason) is that this is so story driven and written in my head that it’s easy to forget that players are not having the same flow I have - for example. The planning with the basement scene takes time to sequence so it just becomes ingrained in my head that it’s obvious to go there - when in reality it isn’t necessarily.
In any case I appreciate you sticking with the game while I learn the ropes and improve my skills!
I started a new game and noticed a few things so far (up to chapter 4).
I am playing on easy with the cheat weapon. I’ll keep playing and let you know if I come across anything else.
Nice thanks!
Yeah I have the first chapter drafted and crafted, I just need to iron it out - make up for some learning curve errors, continuity issues, and dialogue improvements. I really wanted to get it out this weekend, but just like you work has been crazy.
No worries on the delay, I know how it is. If nothing else trying to make my own game has really given me perspective on other developers time frames.
Hey there! Question for you - do you have a resource for learning SRPG studio? It was on sale and I want to learn it in addition to RPGM. My current game is in progress in RPGM but I may delve into SRPG studio in the future.
Also any update on your next release (no pressure, just really curious and looking forward to it!)
Thanks!
Hey no worries. I totally understand your position!
It's funny, the last couple days I've been playing around in Koikatsu making characters and I think I am going to try and make something. I think RPGM is the best avenue for me as it's the genre I'm most familiar with and seems to easiest to use.
Can I ask. What programs you use other than SRPG studio and Koikatsu. Like how are you moving your
character models into the game program?
Thanks!
Your approach to the corruption totally makes sense. I was thinking about it a little more and I think I get what you are going for with the way it's done. Don't get me wrong, it works very well for this game and is still immensely enjoyable.
Thanks for looking into the cheat weapon! I certainly appreciate that.
As for the update, honestly that's a bummer, but you got to look out for yourself first so it's understandable especially if you are working on your own. If you need/want help writing or planning the story let me know (pro bono of course). Certainly don't want to step on your toes in any way, especially creatively, but I'm a good writer and love the genre. No pressure though.
Best of luck to you and I'll cross my fingers that you get the enthusiasm back!
I loved this and Isis and I'm sincerely hoping you make this into a trilogy. I know you don't like to share what you're working on before it's ready (totally understandable, you do you), but can I ask if you have a time frame on when we can expect something new from you? No pressure if you don't want to answer, I understand if so.
Thanks and best regards!
I really like this game. I'm a huge corruption fan and this one really scratches that itch. If I had one issue it would be that the falls happen to fast and I would like to see more of a slow corruption - but this is your story to tell and you do it the way you want. From a story perspective, I could see an argument for the quick corruptions.
Truth be told, I'm cheating at the game play element as I'm more interested in the story (plus impatient and terrible at SRPGs). One issue I had was that the cheat weapon runs out of "ammo" and breaks if you are not careful with its usage. Anyway to make this weapon have unlimited uses?
Do you have a idea of the next release? I'm really looking forward to corrupting the next set.
Absolutely fantastic game for corruption lovers such as myself. Can not wait for the next update.
To Fez Dispenser: Any idea when the next update will be? I know you said infrequently, but I am curious to know if you have any sort of schedule.
Any way to support your work besides Itch (patreon, subscribestar)?
