Thank you, you have an excellent point! While my game is not overly graphic, people have different sensitivity levels. It is probably for the best to leave that warning there! Thanks again for the response!

Thank you for the thought out response! You gave me a lot to think about! I would say my game definitely does fall into a 16+ category but there isn't one on itch. I think, for now, I'm going to leave the 18+ label on it because it's probably better to air on the side of caution with these things. Thanks again!

Thank you for putting it in that perspective! No, I'm not comfortable with a 13yo playing my game. I'd say it's at least 16+ so... an 18+ label is probably the safer bet. I didn't realize there was a seperate adult tag for graphic content. The more you know! That was kind of my worry with giving it the 18+ label, I was concerned people would assume it was a NSFW "adult" game, which it isn't. Thank you for letting me know!

I think this game is fun and festive and has a lot of potential! I played it on an older mac and it was hard to press the two buttons. I think this might be because it automatically fullscreened on launch? But, I'm honestly not sure. All in all, I think it's a neat idea! It was easy to get the hang of and was pretty fun!

I'll test it on Mac!

Edited: I tested it and liked it a lot! I reviewed it and left a comment. As I said in my comment, I had an issue (on mac) with being able to consistently press the buttons. But, I think the overall idea has a lot of promise.

If you end up testing my game, I'd really like some feedback on what sort kind of content rating I should give it. I made a post in "Get Feedback" about this as well. The game handles heavy topics, has strong language, etc... but I don't think any of these things are done to a graphic extent that would make the game NSFW? But, if you feel uncomfortable playing my game because of the content and thus can't give feedback that's okay. You don't have to test my game in return.

I was going to unplug for a few days but of course something crossed my mind and now I'm here.

I'm unsure how to tag my game. It definitely has sensitive content but, I don't know if it's NSFW levels. I don't think it would need an 18+ rating because none of it is all that graphic? But, I also don't know how content ratings work. I decided to tag it as having sensitive content and to show an 18+ content warning for now because I want to air on the side of caution.

I have this on the page itself:

CONTENT WARNING

This game contains some material that might be disturbing to some viewers:

flashing lights, depictions of blood, violence, loss, death (including animal death), mentions of suicide, adult language, partial nudity and suggestive sexual content

This game also contains references to drugs, alcohol and gambling

Said material in the game is not graphic but this game is not suitable for younger audiences

viewer discretion is advised

The game is definitely not an adult/erotic game but, it does handle some heavy topics and has content that does need a content warning. Should I continue to air on the side of caution and have the 18+ warning even if the potentially offensive material isn't graphic? Thanks in advance for any advice!

This looks so good!!!

These look super nice!

This game seems really interesting so far! Out of curiosity, is Perci going to be romancable? He's a jerk but I could see people liking him lol I really like Fern tho! I'm really interested to learn more about them!

Thank you for explaining this to me so thoroughly! I will try to remember to keep my devlog updated.

Thank you for answering my question! I'll wait a little bit before posting in there again.

Obviously, I don't want to spam the "Release Announcements" several times with the same post. That would be annoying. It seems to be the case that "Release Announcements" is more for the first time you announce your game, that's most of the posts I see there. But, a couple posts seem to be about major updates.

Is it okay to post in there after updating the game?

I don't know if this counts as an update but I got a little too excited and posted my game to itch (and in "Release Announcements") without a great description/pitch for what the game is. I recently revamped all the art and updated the description to better promote my game demo. Would it be okay to post in there again now? Or should I wait until I've updated the game itself?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions!

This aesthetic of this game is really cool! It's pretty fun to play and I think the story, so far, is really interesting!

This game has so much style! I really like the music choice. The voice acting is pretty good as well! Although, there is an option to mute the voice, for those who don't like voiced characters in visual novels.

All in all a 10/10 experience! Would recommend!

My first thought on how to "win" would probably be getting enough points so that the frog gets a promotion! Alternatively, promotions could be tied to stages with ramping up difficulty (if you wanted to make multiple stages). Maybe after the player gets enough promotions, the frog rules the postal services lol.

That being said, I think the game is great as is!

This game is really fun! It gets surprisingly difficult really fast! I'm going to share it with my friends to see if any of us can beat it! I hope you continue working on this!

This game is really cute and fun! I think it'd make a good mobile game (if you wanted to go that route). Are there plans to add a way to "win" the game?

It makes me a little sad to see the frog fired over and over lol

Play as Helina playing an MMO RPG with their friend Caleb, who's suffering from mysterious nighmares.

This is just a demo but it's around 60 mins long already! The full game (which is still in development) is sitting at around 3 hours. The demo has reactive choices...

Visual novel-esq scenes with beautiful pixel art...

Turn based combat

And unique walkable environments!

The full game will feature multiple endings, a dating sim mechanic as well as some light horror elements.

This started as a silly little thing I was making for some of my friends that turned into a larger project. I've been working on this, off and on, for about two years. I'm a bit shy and not great at social media so I'm never sure what to say in posts like these. I'd really appreciate some feedback both for the game and how to "market" it. Thanks for reading this post! Hope you enjoy my game!
