I can move Left/Right. How do I do gather resources and make things?

Go ahead. Submit away.

Then I stand corrected. Feel free to submit via itch.

(1 edit)

No. Submissions are through itch.io and are strictly digital video games.

Corrected in various replies below.

Thanks for playing. Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks for playing and the feedback!

I certainly considered an enter button. I also had, but later removed and auto-submit after 4 characters were entered...changed it to 5

I decided against it because it broke the historical accuracy. A future version, however, will likely have a sensitivity slider to allow people to choose to play faster or slower.

Still didn't work. Sorry, mate.

I want to play this, but there is no MacOS version. I don't have VMware or VirtualBox. Can't run the .exe file on my MacBook.

Yes. See above comments.

But, looking to consider a path/level scenario with power-ups (free letters/vowels/slowdowns/etc) or implement that interface into a different style of game like Papers Please or similar.

Thanks, Magno-M-S-Silva.

Thanks, mate. Appreciate that.

Thank you for playing and the kind words.

Nothing yet. Power-ups to come ... potentially.

I might take it in a different direction.

Ahh got it. Thanks.

It's very dark, slightly difficult to discern.

Absolutely.

The plan  is to:

  • tweak the UI//timing a bit
  • tweak the letter drop/speedup algo a bit

Then either:

  • Add a "path" for levels with lots more message puzzles, and power-ups
  • -or- Make a different style adventure with it - like Papers, Please or similar

Thoughts?

.-. .-.. -.-- ?

OMG Thank you. Flattered and honored.

Where do I buy the oven?

Thank you, @sneakysteve!

It's not perfect, I agree. My hope is to keep fine-tuning it after the jam voting is over.

It was a lot to tweak the interface. I change it and played it numerous times on various platforms. Seems a mouse button is easier than a space bar. Certain touch devices are better than others.

Thanks for playing and your feedback.

Have you ever wanted to learn Morse Code? Here's your chance in a fun way!

Morse Mania: Send telegraph messages. Beat the clock. Make money.

It's a timed puzzle game where you tap morse code to transmit a message over a telegraph wire as fast and accurately as you can before time runs out.

Thanks!!

I did. It didn't.

Stuck on the help screen. Next button does not make it go away.

Fun game. Controls were not as responsive as would be expected.

I feel mouse click would have been easier than the space bar for shooting.

Introducing Cupid's Challenge.

It's a simple arcade-like shooter where you are cupid, playing matchmaker by finding matching couples to hit with your love arrows. Match two and score. Hit the same one twice and lose points.

There are 4 levels each with their own unique style and music. Multipliers increase the speed and difficulty as the game progresses.

I made this for the Coding Sucks jam. If anyone would like to help debug it or give feedback before I submit it, I'd be grateful.

Either way, enjoy it. It's only my second solo game.

This reminds me of Bump-n-Jump (Burnin' Rubber). Excellent art!!

I know the feeling. My son and I had an AI issue for two days in a prior jam and only resolved it an hour before I was supposed to go out of town. It doth and truly sucks when you get in those ruts.

Fun and extremely challenging for some reason. Well done.

Great idea. Fun when you get the hang of it.

Were the keys designed to be frustrating or non-US keyboard?

Tricky. Takes a bit to get used to it - and yeah, getting by that woman. Wow.

Nice work.

Satisfying.

Would've been nice to go back to the main menu to restart without exiting.

Player gets stuck sometimes randomly on flat surfaces.

Fun concept.

Fun game. Great for spamming and just letting loose.

Nice platformer.

Almost too colorful. Hard to see what some items are. The Pure Green building near the beginning with the rainbow things... not a building you can step on.

I, too, experienced the mode switch between windowed and fullscreen. Happened between game end and start screen.

Thanks for playing!

Incredible 3D world. Seems like the color doesn't go where you want it to all the time, but well done overall.

Why can't I get to the rainbow land on the far left of the world?! Gaaaahhhh!

Fun and satisfying. Wish it were a tad longer.

It's like Rally X meets a side-scrolling platformer.

Neat concept that sort of combines a maze game into the experience.

But it's hard to see the doors with all the crowds of people. Also the character - despite the hat - gets lost in the shuffle a lot. Particularly considering the doors don't line up where you think they might. An elevator or stairway mechanism might have been better.

Could be real fun with some refinements.

I could play this all day.

Not sure this is a feature or a bug, but you can dive bomb and hold down when you hit the bottom of the screen and still pick up bonuses. Should be a timeout on that.

Otherwise, I love this game.
