Pretty good spin on what would otherwise be an obvious idea, I like it!
I wish it was longer, but that's game jams for you.

A fun little game!

In principle, I don't mind tackling sensitive subjects like sexual assault, but it wasn't handled with subtlety here, and I don't think it was a good fit for a game jam. I found the ending predictable and overexplained. I think the atmosphere worked well!

I'm so glad you went this hard with the narrative bro.

The mech is adorable!

Game was pretty fun and pretty, though it was hard to aim the melee attack with the little forward lunge. The sound effects didn't work for me, only the music.

Loved the music, especially the nod with sampling a political speech.

I wasn't expecting music like that, it made the whole thing feel like an onslaught on my senses, in a good way. I like how the cat ears count as 2 of the tentacles. I could see this developing into a pretty fun game.

I enjoyed how the game spooks you with the blue friend at first. My criticisms are similar to what the other commenters mentioned. It took me a lot of tries to reach the ending because of the O2 meter and the storage device was really easy to miss. Also it seems like you can "overcharge" your O2 tank beyond what the gauge shows you.

Still, I enjoyed the atmosphere, the visuals were pretty nice for a jam game, and it felt like you were having fun making it. I hope you keep honing your skills!

I'll make sure to update the game with keyboard+mouse controls after the jam ends. The mouse issue only requires a single line of code to fix, I just forgot to do it before the deadline :(

I'm glad you like the visuals! I agree that the camera system has issues, I was hoping to polish it more during the jam, but I ran out of time and I didn't disable the wonky easing function. I'm thinking of turning this into a full exploration game after the jam, cause I had to cut a lot of cool ideas to meet the deadline.

I'm glad you like the lighting! Most of the variation of the rocky texture is indeed from the normal map, but there's some color variation as well. It's voronoi noise for the big shapes in the texture.
There's also blocky rock models I made to break the silhouette of the tunnels in many places.

I'm giving this a 5/5 for every category. Outside of a couple bugs, the idea and execution here is just great.

Non euclidean parts were really cool and the execution overall was solid. The jumpscare was cheap but tbh it got me good.
