Very nice game. Infuriatingly hard but well done :)
The simple graphics work nicely with the post processing and the audio to make for a lovely retro-like atmosphere.
It's polished nicely too, the movement feels very smoot. The hitboxes and the ground detection could be more accurate though.
Nice work!

These look very lovely. great job!

I stumbled across this as I was advertising on the brackeys server. It was worth checking out :)
I love the title screen and the board game vibes. The pixel art is very lovely.
The gameplay is great too, it's an interesting take on a merging game, I enjoyed this!

Oh alright. Once you do get it you can reply to me here or just show up on the server and I'll get you your 3rd place role. Take care :)

Hey there, congrats on winning 3rd place! You did great :)
I'm going to announce the winners on our discord server, do you maybe want to join it so I can mention you and give you a role? Or, if you're already there, what's your discord name, cuz I can't find anyone named Gunroar.
If you wanna join, here's a link to the server: https://discord.gg/8xD5mGNnab

You're welcome :)

Thanks for the kind words :)
The mania did come a little short in my cover. But you're right, the perspective through the camera does give it an eerie feeling. Paired with how unusually close the moon appears it's kind of surreal. Almost like an end of the world scenario. It's not energetic, it's calm, but sort of threatening.
Man you don't fail at putting something into words, thanks for the comment <3

Some constructive criticism if I may, I feel like the "Mega Moonlight Mania" doesn't fit the composition all too well. The "Azakaela" works, it looks like a neon sign in the background, but the title looks a little out of place. I think the color doesn't really help it and the font kind of reminds me of pirates, which sort of makes it stand out as not part of the scene. I do however like how it sort of looks like it's floating into the scene, which does tie it into the whole cover.
But again, I really like the atmosphere, it feels like a calm and chilly night in a futuristic city. It makes me wonder what business Moon Girl is up to. She kind of looks like a ghost to me and it seems like she's in a hurry, which both helps bring across the mania. Nice work :)

Nice color scheme and gradient. I also like the texture of the moon, as well as what you did to the three M's of the title.
The idea of this being the view out of a car window is very nice. The execution is simple, but no one said you had to spend a lot of time on this. Nice work :)

I like the pixelated style and the vhs tape is a nice idea. I think the fact that the pixels of the lighting are rotated hurts the composition a little, it might have been nicer if it was rotated first and then pixelated. But it still looks nice, good work :)

For some reason this fits the theme quite well. The black and white color scheme reminds of the moon and the skull with his cool sunglasses kind of carries the mania in the sense of energy in the song. Nice work :)

Very unique approach, I like your style. Maybe a slightly more colorful background would've helped it stand out more. Nice work though :)

I love the energy, it fits the song very well. The color scheme is lovely as well :)

Nice composition. It's simple, but it looks good. I like the colors too

Very nice drawing :) There's a lot going on here, the mania is definitely present. I sure hope the moon isn't actually made of tentacles :D

Very nice cyberpunk vibes, makes me want to know moon girl's story. It fits the song well :)

I like this one. It's simple but very neat and the composition is nice. I like the waveform, it works well for an album cover :)

Very nice composition and color scheme. I like the implication that the song is about a nightly F1 race. I wouldn't have thought of that, but it's fitting. The title floodlight nights is a good choice to make that clear. Nice work :)

Thanks :)
Yeah you're right it doesn't have a lot of mania, I kind of just tried to create a vibe that I felt like would fit the music.

Thanks for the kind words :)

Ideally everyone just rates as many entries as possible. The more submissions you rate, the higher yours gets displayed when sorting by "Most Karma". It doesn't need to be a trade, you can just rate as many as you want :)

I was looking forward to listening to this submission. You set the bar high at the last jam and you delivered again. Wonderful work, this really fits the theme of the images very well :)

You once again did wonderful work. This is yet another demonstration of your ability to convert a scenario into music. Very lovely, great job :)

I love the chill atmosphere, it's very relaxing. This'll probably end up in my playlist, I really enjoy listening to it.

Thanks for the nice review, I'm glad you liked it :)

After having listened to all the submissions I have to say this has to be my favourite. It's such a lovely melody and at the same time calm as it's sinister. The build up to the climax and then the way the melody slowly pans out take the listener on a short journey and I can imagine a drone shot of the swiss alps when suddenly the villains lair is revealed and we watch him as he prepares his schemes. Then as the melody pans out we zoom back out and the drone takes us back to watching the alps.

The different string parts and the sudden gong at the climax play together so nicely and I could listen to this melody on repeat. It's a shame it could only be 30 seconds long. You did a wonderful job!

I love the sinister melody and the spooky sound effects. They make for a frightening atmosphere and I sure hope I never cross paths with Mac.

This is a very nice submission :) The rhythm and melody make it feel like the villain stepping into an arena, prepared and ready to prove himself and restore his reputation. You do well at evoking these emotions. The rising effect at the end adds to the threatening feel. Whoever this villain is, I don't wanna be the one who wronged him.

The calm melody together with the ticking that keeps getting faster and faster make for a very frightening and almost claustrophobic atmosphere. You do well at evoking a sinister, threatening vibe :)

I really like the vibes of this piece. The sound effects and melody evoke a very sinister and frightening atmosphere. Wherever Fearmonger is right now I sure hope he's not out to get me. Good job!

I really like the whispery arpeggio and the brass melody makes for a nice villainous atmosphere! The abrupt ending is also very nice. One of my favourite sumbissions :)

This has to be one of the most unique submissions in this jam. I love the "boom-shaka-laka" sound effect.

The little story you added to the jam page made me laugh, it's a nice addition :)

This is one of my favourite submissions. It stands out from the crowd and I love the vibes. The sound effects tie it together nicely and make me imagine a scene where the John "Lucrative" Smith is introduced. I especially love the "heheh, I'm sold" :)

The little backstory you added to the project page and the cool villain name make me want to see a movie about this guy!

Thanks for the nice comment. I'm glad you like my composition :)

Hey thanks for the kind words :) I'm glad you like the emotions my theme evokes. As well as the sword sound, I've always wanted to make a piece with this effect and I like how it fits.

I did indeed not intend for either of these references. But it's cool that my piece reminds you of these different things :)

Thanks for the kind words :) I like the knife unsheating too, I always wanted to make a piece with such a sound effect. I'm glad you liked my theme
