Art style was really great, and the gameplay was fun and kept me on my toes.
Cheers to knight chillin in the flower field while his 'buddies' do all the work ;)
Well done
Unexpectedly fun as the RPMs rise, it took me a moment to notice the little stick figures flying off in the mix, and the flames were a nice touch!
I think a little more could have been done for game feel ( more crazy, over the top feedback when completing/building equations ), but overall was a great game that distracted me longer than I expected it would!
Really great work!
hey there! Thank you kindly for playing the game, I'm even more happy you enjoyed it! We really wanted the 2D camera style to work in this context so you can focus on the basic combos!
Basically, you can infinitely chain hits if you time the left mouse click to just before it hits the enemy. You can tell if you timed it right cause times slows a moment. Give a try with that in mind and you maybe have a diff experience!
I noticed the bit about the boss text as well, heh, ill fix that!
Hey there, we pushed up a new build of the game to resolve the 2D camera issue where the Player can roll/run off the path.
Next coming are some story and combat updates to be more engaging and give more incentive to take side paths where some goodies are waiting.
Thanks again for the thorough report :)
Hey I really appreciate you playing through the game and even recording what you ran into. That is very helpful so we can address those issues and get a stable and clean build out. There were certainly some painful ones! haha.
You know there were some turns you didn't take on the path that had another mini-boss and some other buff shrines at them too, so I'm going to make some improvements that make it a bit more obvious which is the main path and off-path.
Though it was insanely painful watching the bugs unfold, I'm glad you did this, it's part of the process, thanks man!
Just a short, single level experience exploring a new concept of integrating 2.5D combat in a 3D forest, side scrolling hack and slash, so to speak, but only in certain places. Created by a developer from Hawke Gaming and myself. Let us know what you think.
---
Being chased by the enemy, you are forced to take a shortcut through a dangerous forest. Are your timing skills up to par to fight the darkness that lies ahead? Secure your freedom!
Pickup ancient power along the way to help you defeat the evil that has taken over the forest, or die trying.
---
Try to time your attacks appropriately to hit combos, as you collect shrine powers you will become faster and stronger, and need to adjust timing, good luck, and watch for enemy attack patterns!
---
Requires KEYBOARD/MOUSE
Free Traversal Mode Movement => W/A/S/D
Combat Mode Movement => A/D ( LEFT/RIGHT; 2.5D combat )
Attack => Left Click on Mouse
Dodge => Spacebar

It is more so just a suggestion than a requirement. Whatever you choose to use, Unity, Unreal, GoDot, or even Game Maker, just make sure that if you use someone's work for the project from an asset, you give them some credits in the description. Just make sure to include ANTs as mentioned in the description.
