Unbalanced as all hell, but fun!

I know, I had fun doing it, I am just an overly ambitious person that likes to do a bit of everything xD, it's not good to be like that though, overscoping is very bad.

The music is actually cc0 music, I added a keybind to go to the credits by pressing C on the main menu, but that ended up being something I added at the last moment but I didn't test it, and turned out it didn't actually work, the fade screen is actually a problem I am aware, seeing little problems like these makes me kinda sad despite people having liked the game, as I had to rush through the final hours to make it to the jam.

Don't worry I was going to do that, I was busy so I couldn't get around rating some more games.

Thanks for your feedback!

I am totally on board that what I made was  a little too difficult, I originally intended for this game to be very different than it came out, however due to time constraints and college I had to cut some of that content out, and some of the level design, despite being tuned to be completable without any power ups, still got pretty out of hand with the difficulty, that's one of the things I said I am unhappy with about this game in the discord a while ago, and I want to re-make the game once the jam ends from scratch with the scrapped content back in place.

Thank you for your feedback!

Honestly, the game was just on the point for me!

This was great! I want to see what may be brought to this game after the jam ends!

Played through the entire thing, short but sweet.

Hey, I was actually going to rate your game next! What a neat surprise to see you here!

I can actually relate to this, Overtuned was made in around two days and a few hours because I had some college assignments to do. What an incredible piece of software allowing stuff like this to work in such a short amount of time, I was having fun but it definitely was not good for my health to not sleep to get it done.
There was some time spent outside of the engine conceptualizing what the game would be, but those moments were far in between while I was doing something else and an idea popped.

Thanks! It warms my heart to know a lot of people are enjoying this art style as much as I enjoyed to make the entire game around it.

Thanks for your feedback! The gun issue is something I was very aware of, I fail to see why it happens but I want to re-program the game from scratch after the jam ends, and what you've said here will be very useful.

Looking forward to what you come up with after the jam if you do get around updating the game.

The game is fun, however I feel like the screen shakes a little too much, be careful when doing shaky screens.

I've played this game and it is fine, but I've experienced some frame drops, also I feel like the first level is too small for the amount of enemies spawned on it.

This game straight up is probably the most fun I've had today. The other games aren't bad but I LOVE shooters ever since I was a kid, I just played with with the biggest smile you could have on a person's face.

I love arcade-y games and this game was very enjoyable, pretty hard though, could use some invincibility frames when going up ladders.

I enjoyed the game but I can be frustrating at times, since pressing R restarts the entire level and I actually got in a few softlocks due to collision bugs with the blocks, also occasionally it's hard to get a feel for when you can jump or not, I would recommend using the "Coyote time" extension to prevent this, but other than those problems, good game!

Fun little game! I don't know how well this idea would go, but maybe more bombs could drop in-case the population gets higher, to add some challenge overtime, if that already happens I didn't notice.

I'm glad you like them! I like B/W graphics a lot and I really wanted to do something it that!

Some of the cogs are actually a little tricky for myself to get too, and I made the game, but there is always at least one cog that is accessible without any installed modules every level, at least one that is accessible only through shooting, and one through double jumping. There is also a few that are under pass-through platforms, but I feel I didn't convey very well you can go through some of them.

I am glad you enjoyed the game, I've just tested yours and I think it's great!
Also fun fact since we are mentioning color schemes here, originally the game would use a color pallette closer to the C64, but I decided to just make B/W when I went over to Charalian and asked to help me with the art.

I've asked for a friend of mine to test the game and they actually complained about course 2 as well, I will re-balance it once I have the chance to after the end of the jam.
I am glad that you enjoyed my game despite course 2 spiking in difficulty a little too fast! You got pretty close to finishing the game, the game only has three courses and the third one is a one-act.

Great game, beaultiful graphics and pretty challenging too! The only complain is how much time it takes to go back to playing the game after you die, however you are probably already aware of this, looking forward to the changes you may make after the jam ends.

This game is pretty great, there is a weird bug with collision, you are able to get your character stuck once you place something too close to it, but other than that the game is very enjoyable, and that bug doesn't take too much from the experience.

Good game! I hope you add more levels after the jam ends, also I love black and white pixel art and it makes me really happy to see another game with that style on this jam.

You did a great job with this game, it looks amazing! And it's quite fun too!

Thanks! I had to fill in quite often the role of artist, so we had to go for something simple because I am not the greatest artist ever.

Vai braziliam

Good luck to you too!
